SELF INTRODUCTION

I would like to introduce myself. My name is Kerin Berliana. You can call me Kerin. I
was born in Palembang, on 31st of March, 2001. Now, I am 18 years old. I live with my
parents in Palembang, specifically at Jl. Ahmad Yani 140. I am from Senior High School 3
Palembang. I graduated from senior high school in 2019. My favorite subjects when I was in
senior high school were math and physics, therefore I choose Electrical Engineering
Department. My hobbies are drawing and making hand lettering. I usually post my works on
my instagram account. The username is michu.art. I have sold my paintings since 2017. I do
my hobbies when I have spare time, I usually draw some galaxies because I love to blend
many colors and make them into beautiful paintings. I am the second children of my parents.
I just have one brother and no sister. My brother is older than me. He has graduated from
Polytechnic State of Sriwijaya. Now, he works at coal company, Bukit Asam. I have a
perspective for myself. In my opinion, I am a creative person because I love to make some
handicrafts like artificial flowers from corn husk, dream catcher, and many others. Then, I
think, I have sense of art, therefore I really love drawing. And also, I’m a discipline person,
especially about time. I like to manage my time from I wake up until I go to sleep. And I
don’t like to be late if I have an appointment with somebody else, because I don’t want to
make someone waits me for so long. My favorite color is blue, because I think blue is
freshening color. At home, I have three cats. They are Michu, Mochi, and Machu. Michu is
the female one. It has white and orange fur, yellow eyes, a peak nose, and it’s such a fat cat.
Mochi is the male one. It has brown fur, brown eyes, and a peak nose too. And then, machu is
their child. It has white and orange fur, yellow eyes, and a beautiful tail. It really like playing
with plastic bag. I think, that is all my self introduction. Thank you very much for your

DESCRIBING MY FRIEND
Assalamualaikum Wr.Wb
I would like to describe one of my friends. Her name is Dhevia Maharani.
She is my chairmate and treasurer in this class. She was born in Palembang, on
17th of march, 2002. She is from State Islamic Senior High School 3 Palembang.
She liveas at Tanjung Barangan. We met for the first time when we had medical
check up at Siloam Hospital. It was a part of cooperation class test. After that,
we met again when we had an interview test of PMDK at State Polytechnic of
Sriwijaya. And then, coincidentally, we met again at PLN Office for interview
test which was the last part of cooperation class test.
First impression when I meet her is I think she is a quiet and shy person
because she don’t talk too much with other people and just say a little word
when someone try to start a conversation with her. And also, she rarely smile at
somebody else too. But, when I know her a bit longer, I think she is totally not
what I thought about her before. I found out that she is a kind person and little
funny. She likes to tell any story and she like to tease Praha. Then, I think she is
not a quiet person anymore. Physically, she is taller than me. She has pointed
nose, round eyes and tan skin. Her hobby is sewing and stitching. And also, she
likes to make something by herself. So, I think she has creativity. Okay, that’s

JOB DESCRIPTION OF TECHNICAL SERVICE SUPERVISOR

A supervisor is someone who is given the task and responsibility to manage a production and
service to the customer, guide and direct subordinates to achieve the organizational goals.
Manage work schedules and other technical work.
The main tasks of Technical Service Supervisor :
Responsible for planning and implementing technical services work which includes :
1. material needs planning survey and install House Connections (SR), and Gauges and
Limits (APP) for new installation work.
2. Temporary connection, disconnection and reconnection.
3. Distribution operations and maintenance.
4. Construction control.
5. Asset data processing in accordance with the provisions and targets set by the
Company.
To carry out the responsibilities as stated above, the Technical Service Supervisor has the
following functions :
1. Monitoring and controlling new installation requests (PB / PD), temporary
connection, disconnection and reconnection, temporary / finished demolition and
other services.
2. Planning and controlling the material needs of the Medium Voltage Network (JTM),
Low Voltage Network (JTR), Transformers/voltage regulator, SR & APP and budget
needs in accordance with their authority.
3. Developing SOPs for the operation and maintenance of distribution networks.
4. Arranging the development plans, operation and maintenance for the distribution
networks.
5. Coordinating and monitoring the operation and maintenance of distribution networks,
cubicles, protection and network development.
6. Implementing Control of Electricity Usage (P2TL) with the team.
7. Monitoring kWH losses and making emphasis.
8. Implementing kWH meter transaction readings at the electrical relay station and kWH
boundaries between Units.
9. Monitoring Distribution Network Charges, voltage quality and System Average
Interruption Duration Index (SAIDI) / System Average Interruption Frequency Index
(SAIFI).
10. Implementing management of work facilities and equipments.
11. Making a proposal for rural electricity development.
12. Managing asset data.

SOME CHARACTERS NEEDED AT WORKING AREA

1. MATURE
Maturity is not about age, but it is related to attitudes, thoughts, points of view, and
manner. Same as personal life, being more mature at office becomes something you
need to do. Moreover, at working area, there are many unexpected situations that
make a person's mental up and down. You will also meet many people with different
personalities during work, and of course it requires you to become more mature
person. Many people are difficult to control themselves when working, especially
when they faced with an urgent situation.
Here are some situations that require the maturity as a leader at working area :
a. When facing subordinates who show a difficult attitude to set, position
yourself as a guide and understand the character of your subordinates.
b. When your mood is not good, never bring it to be a problem that you delegate
to your subordinates, especially if you think what they do is always wrong.
c. In making decisions, a mature leader will make decisions very wisely without
regard to his ego.
d. A good leader is a leader who is able to grow his maturity. That way, you can
get wisdom in yourself.

2. TEAMWORK SKILL
The benefits of having teamwork skill at working area are :
a. Improving Work Efficiency
If good teamwork is established, work efficiency will increase. Each person
will carry out their functions simultaneously in accordance with their
respective responsibilities, so that the workload can be quickly done.
b. Having many Creative Ideas
Creativity will be formed because there is a discussion to discuss various
interesting ideas. we can get the best idea and ultimately create the optimal
solution together.
c. Workload Becomes Lighter
in a team, you can share your workload and also provide assistance to other
team members. Everyone will help one another and learn not to pay attention
to personal interests, but to prioritize the common interests.
d. Strengthening Each Other in Difficult Times
the benefits of teamwork will be felt because you can rely on each other and
also strengthen each other.
 Compare if you only work alone. You will be overwhelmed in completing
work. You will also make the wrong decision when the stress strikes, because
no one can be invited to discuss the problem.
e. Developing the company
A project that is done together will quickly finish. Other projects that await
can be ready to be done. The company's target will be quickly achieved with a
quality teamwork that supports each other.

3. HAVING A LOT OF INITIATIVES

Initiative is an ability to find opportunities, find ideas, develop ideas and new ways of
solving a problem (thinking new things).
employee's initiatives can result the improvements of company's performance and
productivity. Qualified employees don't always depend on leaders or other people.
They dare to take the initiative in certain things. they know what they have to do
without being told to do so. Even they can make their own decisions that are
considered good without help of somebody else.
DESCRIBING THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENT

Hello class, good afternoon. As we know that we are from Electrical Engineering
Major that focus to study about electricity. So, I think we should know more about the
various kinds of electrical components. Start from the functions, how it work, how to use,
how to operate, and also the types of each component. So today, I’m going to explain to you
about one of electrical components, that is inductor.
I start from the definition first. The inductor is a passive component that stores the
electrical energy in the magnetic field when the electric current flows through it. We can say
that the inductor is an electrical device that possesses the inductance.
An inductor is usually made from a coil of conducting material, like copper wire, that
is then wrapped around a core that is made from either air or a magnetic metal. If you use the
more magnetic material as the core, you can get the better inductance around the core.
The functions of inductor
Inductor is used in several applications :
1. Filter
Inductor is used too often with resistor and capasitor to create filter for analog circuit
and in signal processing.
2. Sensor
Inductor is used to magnetic field from a distance. Inductive sensor is widely used at
traffic light intersections.
3. Transformer
Combination of inductors are used to make smaller and light-weight transformer.
4. Motor
Inductor motors use magnetic force to turn electrical energy into mechanical energy.
5. Store energy
 Like capasitor, inductor can also be used to store energy with some limitation. Eg :
SMPS ( switch mode power supply)

Inductors are categorized into different types based on their core material and mechanical
construction. Following are the main types :
1. Air cored inductor
2. Iron cored inductor
3. Ferrite cored inductor
4. Iron powder inductor

There are four main factors which influence the capacity of inductor. They are :
1. Number of wire wraps
2. Coil’s area

DIGITAL MULTIMETER

Good afternoon class. Today, I’m going to explain to you about one of measuring
instruments, that is digital multimeter. I think it is an essential instrument for us to know
because we are from electrical engineering major that focus to study about electricity.
THE DEFINITION OF DIGITAL MULTIMETER
Digital multimeter is a measuring instrument that is used to measure some electrical
parameters including resistance, voltage, current, etc, and then displaying the results in the
mathematical digits form on LCD or LED readout.
THE FEATURES OF DIGITAL MULTIMETER
Digital multimeter is the most advanced instrument that using the modern integrated
circuit for making electrical measurement. Some of its features which make it famous in the
eyes of professional technicians are :
1. It is light in weight.
2. Capable of giving more accurate readings.
3. It measures lots of physical quantities like voltage, current, resistance, frequency, etc.
4. It is less costly.
 5. It measures different electrical parameters at high frequencies with the help of special
probes.
PARTS AND FUNCTIONS
1. Display
Display is the LCD screen presents on the upper portion of the multimeter,
basically displays four or more digits and also shows the negative value if
necessary.
2. Selection dial
It allows the user to set the multimeter to read different electrical parameter such
as milliampere (mA) of current, voltage, resistance, capacitance, etc. You can turn
the dial anywhere for specific parameter measurement.
3. Ports
Two ports are available on the front of every multimeter. We plug two probes
into these ports which have different color. One is red, and the other one is black.
Ports are :
a. COM
It is a port to insert the black probe.
b. mAVohm
It is a port to insert the red probe.
4. Multimeter leads
In the box of digital multimeter, we got leads of different colors, that are red and
black. Multimeter leads are subdivided into four parts :
a. Red lead
It is connected to voltage, resistance, or ampere port.
b. Black lead
It is connected to the common or ground port.
c. Probes
These are the handles, it is used to hold the tip on the tested connection.
d. Tip
These are present at the end of the probes and basically, provide a connection
point.

THE PROCEDURE TO USE TEST PEN

test pen is the one of the electrical devices, the shaped like a pen, that is used to detect or test
the condition of the voltage on the electrical equipment. Such as cables, electrical sockets and
other electrical equipments.
HOW TO USE TEST PEN
the procedure to use Test Pen is very simple and easy. With just a few steps, we can find out
whether an electric socket or power cord is electrified or not. The purpose of this test is of
course to avoid electric shock which is dangerous to our health and even death.
Here are the steps :
1. make sure the test pen is in good condition, clean and dry.
2. make sure your body's condition is dry, not wet or moist.
3. take and hold the test pen with the tips of your fingers.
4. Put the tip of your forefinger on the top of the test pen.
5. attach the end of the test pen to the power source or electrical equipment that you
want to test.
6. pay attention to the indicator lights. if it is on, it means that the electrical equipment is
being powered by electricity or there is voltage in that electrical equipment.
