Managing Learning
Comments:
The lesson was very well planned and suited the ability/needs of these students. The topic and
content of the lesson were relevant to the learners’ needs.
Questions/activities were carefully prepared to ease the students into each subsequent action. Pre-
requisite knowledge was checked before doing an activity.
When the noise level was high, Nawar maturely stopped and reminded them of the rules.
Implementing Learning
She used SB effectively and asked students about writing subtraction equations. She didn’t move to
the subsequent activity before ensuring that the students grasped the concepts. Students then went
to their desks and solved the problems. Nawar tried, at all times, to use language that was appropriate
for all the students in the class. If a student did not understand, she rephrased accordingly. Her class
is, without doubt, student-centred.
Assessment
Comments:
Nawar ensured that every the LTs were achieved by roaming around and observing students’ work.
All the activities were suitable for all the students.
The lesson was broken logically into stages, and the planning was accurate in terms of timing and
content.
Nawar, it was a real pleasure to be in your class. You set very clear expectations for the students. They
have plenty of opportunities to practice, extend and then express themselves in a variety of activities. I
liked the positivity in your class, excellent work!
