The MCT and MST will use this form to formally observe the trainee’s performance and to give feedback
based on the selected teaching competencies.

Always demonstrates consistent attendance and punctuality. Prioritizes the needs of the
school and students over required working hours. Classroom and lessons are well prepared &
ready for each lesson. Participates in school activities outside the classroom and builds
positive relationships within the school.

Comments:
Lesson plans have sufficient detail to secure satisfactory delivery and include testable learning
objectives and appropriate assessments. Lesson plan was provided upon the MCT request.
Managed to produce a lesson plan which engages students and encourages maximum student
participation with a level of balance and a range of learning strategies and materials.

Comments:
Uses appropriate classroom management strategies to secure a safe and effective learning
environment. Establishes and consistently manages classroom routines and transitions.

Comments:
Understands the need to use an enquiry based approach within a lesson, but is limited in the
range of question types used to support & extend student learning. Activities and materials
are differentiated to support student engagement and learning, but some student needs are
not addressed. Has sufficient subject knowledge to successfully deliver the required learning
outcome. Grades language to support student comprehension of content and instructions.

Formative assessment data is sometimes used to inform planning. I would recommend that
you keep the formative and summative assessments data records.
