NOT OK: If the diagnostic


trouble code is active or
is regenerated after it has
been deleted and a
functional test has been
carried out: GO TO 1.2

Check the power supply to the fan motor driver unit: NOT OK: Recondition as
required and do an
Bridging plug K10/1. Operational Check for
Fuse F05/13. Fan Motors, see

2 Checking the fan Ignition ON. OK: GO TO 5.
control Turn the fan speed control as far as it will go to the left (OFF).
Turn the temperature control as far as it will go to the left (Lo). NOT OK: GO TO 3.
Access address ATC005.
Slowly turn the fan speed control through its entire range till it stops at the other
extreme.

3 Initial component test In the heater/evaporator housing, perform a visual inspection of the driver unit for fan OK: If there are no signs
motors (A59) and of the contacts associated with it: of damage: GO TO 4.
