W ith the warmer winter weather, several peo-

ple came out to line the streets of Minnedosa
for the Santa Claus Parade held on the evening of
Friday, December 6th. A total of 22 floats, includ-
ing Santa Claus himself, decorated and lit up their
floats to participate in this holiday festive event.
This event kicked off the annual Unlock the Magic
weekend, which saw several local businesses stay-
ing open late for shoppers.
The winner of the parade was the Rosie’s Bak-
ery float. “It was such a fun float, lots of thought,
time and effort was put into it. Rosie even dressed
up as a gingerbread (wo)man which we thought
was very invested. The treats they handed out were
gingerbread men baked at the bakery which we
an. Rosie’s Bakery also donated their gingerbread
house to the Santa Day activities on Saturday.
Saturday events included; sleigh rides on Main
Street, pictures with Santa, crafts, a free family
movie, Mrs. Claus reading, craft sale, family dance,
and skating with Santa, to name a few. The week-
end was packed with activities and events to reach
any age interest and was well attended and appre-
ciated by families both near and far.
The big winner of the weekend was Neil

The Minnedosa Tribune office will close for Christmas holidays at 12 noon on
