1. INTRODUCTION

Promoting quality education with the help of the program of the Department of
Education in terms of improving the nutritional status of each Filipino learner is one of
most important thing when producing competitive and globally-competitive learners.
Gulayan sa Paaralan Program, a program from the Department of Education, aims to
help the nutritional status of each learner be enhanced and be improved. The budget from
the School TLE Department and School Canteen cannot suffice the needs of every
learner.

From the problem above, Pedro Mariscal National High School is need of fund to
finance the Gulayan Project. The administrators and stakeholders of this school humbly
request for a Supplemental Grant to sustain the needs of 303 learners from Grade 7 to
Grade 10.

2. JUSTIFICATION FOR GRANT REQUEST

2.1 RATIONALE

Pedro Mariscal National High School is one of the school of Sta. Maria
District. It is located at San Isidro, Sta. Maria, Davao Occidental. This school
had an agricultural land that is good for root crops and agricultural plants. The
 teachers, learners, and parents goes hand in hand for the betterment of the
school and for the community.

Parents and learners planted vegetables and root crops in order to

sustain the feeding program of the school. There were no left students when
this program will be implemented completely.
