Mr Böge asked the Commission to inform the Agriculture Committee at its next meeting of the measures it
had taken to implement the Veterinary Committee’s recommendation of 10 March 2001 (the President
asked the Commission to take good note of this request).

Mr Posselt asked what time Question Time would begin (the President replied that Question Time would
begin approximately 20 minutes late and that he would refer the problem of the increasing delays affecting
Question Time to the Bureau and Conference of Presidents).

22. Report on preparations for the introduction of euro notes and coins (Com-
mission statement)
Mr Solbes Mira, Member of the Commission reported on the preparations for the introduction of euro
notes and coins.

The following asked questions which Mr Solbes Mira answered in turn: Torres Marques, Karas, Randzio-
Plath, Thyssen and Gahler.

Question 29 by Mrs Doyle: Violence against women in Sierra Leone


Mr Nielsson, Member of the Commission, answered the question and a supplementary by Mrs Doyle.
He undertook to give her a fuller reply in writing.

Question 30 by Mr Dupuis: Humanitarian aid for the Chechen people


Mr Nielsson answered the question and supplementaries by Mr Dupuis and Mr Posselt.

Question 31 by Mrs Isler Béguin: Non-polluting vehicles


Mr Busquin, Member of the Commission, answered the question and supplementaries by Mrs Isler Béguin
and Rübig.

Question 32 by Mrs Carlotti: International trade and the fight against AIDS
Mr Lamy, Member of the Commission, answered the question and a supplementary by Mrs Carlotti.
