 Entrance Tests are compulsory for all full-time programmes. For MA programmes in
Foreign Languages and all research programmes there will also be oral examinations/
interviews.

Reservations
All reservations (SC,ST,OBC,Wards of Defence Personnel, Displaced Kashmiri
Migrants, Persons with Different Abilities) are as per GOI/UGC rules.

Fellowships & Scholarships

All M.Phil and Ph.D. scholars of the University are eligible for Non-NET
fellowships if they do not get UGC JRFs (Rs 3000 p.m. for M.Phil and Rs
5000 for Ph.D. + contingency grant of Rs 8000 per annum. In addition,
economically backward students will be eligible for stipends, tuition fee
exemption and book allowance.

How to apply?
Application forms can be obtained from the Publications Unit, The EFL
University, Hyderabad 500007 on payment of Rs 520 (Rs 260 for
SC/ST/Persons with Different Abilities on production of proof) in cash or in the
form of a DD drawn in favour of Registrar, EFL University payable at
Hyderabad. Write “Request for Application” on envelope and specify Programme
of Study. Applications for distance mode programmes can be had from Dean,
School of Distance Education, EFL University, Hyderabad by paying a DD for the
same amounts.
Application forms can also be downloaded from the University website
www.efluniversity.ac.in. Details relating to eligibility, fee structure and other
details are also available on the website. Such downloaded forms, when filled in
and submitted, should be accompanied by a demand draft for Rs 520 (Rs 260 in
the case of SC/ST/Persons with Different Disabilities). All filled in application
forms (printed or downloaded) should be accompanied by two self-addressed
stamped (Rs 5) envelopes (9” x 4” size) and sent to Controller of Examinations,
EFL University, Hyderabad 50007.
Separate application forms have to be submitted for each programme and for
each Campus. Candidates applying for more than one programme may obtain
additional forms by paying Rs 70 for each form. They are not transferable. Forms
are also available in Lucknow and Shillong Campuses.
Model test papers can be downloaded from University website after 15 April 2010.

All India English Language Testing Service

The University will conduct an English Proficiency Test on 30th May

2010 (10.00 am). All those who are above 16 years are eligible to take
the test. Certificate will be issued by EFL University. Handbook and
Application Form can be had by sending a demand draft for Rs 100 (in
favour of Registrar, EFLU) giving full postal address. Test fee: Rs 1500
(SC/ST – Rs 750). Visit university website for further details of test
centres or refer to the handbook. AIELTA Proficiency Test can be
arranged in any of the 27 centres where EFL University Entrance
Tests are going to be held on 30th May 2010.
