Specifications:
• Valid at least six months before travel and visa application

Please note that Passport with additional observation (example : name correction/validity
correction/DOB correction etc), hand written passport and passports with 20 year validity
are not accepted at any consulates.
Copy of the Invitation letter from the Korean organisation
Note: Original Or Copy of invitation letter required from South Korean Company stamp &
signed by pen with full name & designation of sign authority should be attested by local
notary from South Korea .
Invitation letter should contain the following information:
- Invitee's details, such as full name, Passport number and DOB
- Inviter's details, such as in case of companies, name and phone no of person in-charge,
and in case of individuals, inviter's full name, ID no (Foreigner Registration No), and phone
no.
- Inviting company/individual's registered seal/signature at the end of the letter

Letter needs to be addressed to "Consulate General of the Republic of Korea, Chennai" For
chennai consulate document submissions.
-Invite letter Issue date should be less than 1 month

Visa application form downloaded from the following website (http://ind-

chennai.mofa.go.kr/english/as/ind-chennai/visa/Applicants/index.jsp). Please ensure that
the visa application form is the latest one (dated 17th/ 18th november 2015) NO
CORRECTIONS, WHITENER FLUID AND DIFFERENT HANDWRITTENS ARE NOT ACCEPTED. It
is mandatory to fill all fields in the application form.

The photograph with white background should not be more than six months old and the
measurement of the photograph should be of 3.5 cm wide and 4.5 cm high. The face
should display the front of the applicant measuring approximately 2.5 cm wide and 3.5 cm
high
 ITR receipt/TDS forms is mandatory. Personal Income tax returns for the past three years.
Incase the applicant does not possess the recent three years of IT, he/she may provide
his/her bank statement for the past six months instead along with a letter of reason for
lack of IT for the specified years.

This certificate is issued by the tax department, National Tax Service, Korea. Korean
company registration copy is accepted only within 3 months from the date of issue
