My Dear Mom,
It has been a while since I have written a letter to you. I hope you are fine and this letter will find the
best place in your heart. This year has been the most wonderful and splendid year of my life. In the
beginning of my semester I have been selected as class representative because of my responsible
and humble nature. This was just the beginning once the college academic session started I was as
busy as bee. My next endeavour was being a part of our annual college fest- SAMPRITI. In which I
was holding the responsibility of organizing the whole event, which was a highly manageable job for
me as a fresher but the level of satisfaction I got after handling the whole event was unmatchable.
Besides this I have been able to manage my studies well. I stood 4th in my class after scoring the 8.8
CGPA. These achievement could not have been possible for me without the support of my friends
and teachers, and without blessings of yours and papa.
I am missing papa and Kritika very much. I will be coming home on 9th august for 1 week holiday and
will spend this week along with you and others.

Subject: - Problem of water logging

Respected Sir,

I am Raj, living in Dharma colony. The residents of our area are facing the problem of water logging.
The ground portion of each and every house is filled with water. Every year during monsoon season
the water gets filled over everywhere and due to blockage of all drains it remained there for long
period which led to several water borne diseases. We have complained to our society union several
times but haven’t seen any steps to improve this situation. So, finally on the behalf of our society I
am writing this letter to you, please take a proper action to solve this issue of our society.

Place of Art in modern world

In earlier days art including music and literature were handmaids of religion and their main aim was
to explore religion through audible & visible symbols. But now the art is being practiced for own sake
and has become a substitute of religion. Art bring a certain spiritual satisfaction to those whose
religious needs have been denied their normal fulfilment. Hence in today’s world art occupies an
important place and there is an increase in number of people who practising this.

Role of personality human success

Personality of a person is image of person that he makes with his will power and potential. One
simply cannot receive personality in gift it is thing which everyone can gain if they have strong will to
attain it. Self confidence is one of the ways that shapes people building their personality. It is the
mental state in which person’s self believe cannot be shaken whether they are wrong or right that’s
another matter. They believe in themselves and fearlessness of others. Opinions give them more self
confidence. Hence it can be said that it plays a major role in building personality.
