Shanghai ARTZ Gallery launch

In the context of Shanghai’s flourishing with contemporary art galleries and museums, ARTZ’s
launch represents a premiere for the local art scene: ARTZ is the first online platform which
leads off to present Romania’s contemporary art to China, as it is well known that the two
countries share 70 years of political, economical and cultural relationships.

Our mission is to develop a program of exhibiting the works of famous Romanian artists, with museum-
level curatorship, artist talks, and cross-cultural art projects in Mainland China. Why this niche:
because Romanian art is extremely well appreciated and collected in Europe and USA, but less
known in China, therefore ARTZ aspires to be one of the most important promoters of Romanian
art here. ARTZ Gallery is an active promoter of the cultural interchange between China and
Romania, aiming to be an important factor in the development of the art industry of both
countries

Our collection also includes a high-standard selection of international artists, each with a uniquely
modern approach to art, because our goal is to promote both young and established contemporary
artists regardless of nationality. We carefully select our artists based on the quality of their work and
their strong authenticity and commitment to originality. That is why our strategy is based on invitation-
only, and we do not accept “unsolicited” submissions.
