Monday Introducing the worker 30/10/2019

In the first day of starting the work introducing about me and meeting the worker. they accept me
nicely. then I have see the condition of the office. and they give us an orientation and the rule of
the organization.
Focus area of the organization divided in to two.ict and media system. In this month I focus
on IICT center. in ICT center focus area is networking ,ftp, rioters ,SMS ,phone and maintenance

The second week of working day I have seen the server room. It is highly secured room and
performs open twenty four hours. Server is a powerful computer Which is used as a library and
stores the programs which are on the air. the server room contain different device like Cisco
Switch ,Reuters ,EPHONE ,CCTP camera controller computer etc..

ICT is an umbrella term that includes any communication devices or application, radio,
television, cellular phone, computer and network hardware and software,
Satellite systems, etc. as well as the various service and applications associated with them. ICT is
Also used to refer to the convergence of audio-visual with computer network through a single
link system. These technologies include computers, the Internet, broadcasting
Technologies (radio and television) and telephony.

Tuesday Wi-Fi 10/3/2011

In this weak OBN organization worker told me the Wi-Fi system but I didn’t get enough
knowledge because I didn’t see the equipment he told us his own knowledge by word.
There are 3 types of cable. TEUSTED PAIR CABLE is data inform of electromagnetic wave. It
divided in to two shaded and unheeded the device which used to cut the TEUSTED pair cable is
called crimper.
COXIAL CABLE is used connect for the satellite dish into decoder.thde device which used to
cut the coaxial cable is machines or motor driver. it is expensive b/c of this reason I can’t see the
device. fiber optics is used to consumes network from Tele ,the data informs of light.the device
used to cut the fiber optics cable is called splicer. The OBN organization buy this cable is 1.25
million birr this cable is more expensive than other cable.

Tuesday ftp(file transfer protocol) 18/3/2011

This weak we have to seen how to work phone and how to connect phone cable.OBN
organization buy the cable from Tele. each cable have four coolers, blue, red , green ,yellow. but
we didn’t see the cooler b/c in this organization they didn’t crimp phone cable like UTB cable.

I can’t do more work about phone because of no one want to response this work .if one cable are
miss configured a lot of phone may be get a problem. The ICT room worker gives only the
problem carefully.
FTP (file transfer protocol) is used for the transfer of computer file between a client and server
on a computer network. the software using FTP is file ZILA..
File ZILA divided in to two 1 file ZILA client is used to user name and password
2.file ZILA server is used to only to join the software
OBN organization have 14 branch .ICT class room worker is to manipulate the computer
problem of the other branch by using the software of TEAM VEWER..it used to problem
solving of the other pc own our pc by getting the person user name and password.
Additional I have been seen about security camera (CCTV camera) this camera is controlled in
the server room. It work 24hr.it can send and receive data via a computer network and the
internet.

Tuesday maintenance 25/3/2011

The last week of the month I have seen and work about networking and maintenance have to
connected the internet cable and do the IP address configuration. IP addresses divide I n to two
private and public. Public IP address accessed over the internet like postal Address. Private IP
address is non internet facing IP address on an internet network. Provide network device such as
router.
After connecting the network cable but it hasn’t get a connection. Checking the IP address by
right click then open network then chooses property change into open IP address automatically.
So this is one of the troubles shooting of connection problem. I get my pc IP address is 172.20.2

Finley we have seen about switch. Switch divides in to manageable and unmanagble.OBN
organization used a manageable switch. he organization buy Cisco switch in the amount of
60000 birr.
In the networking day I also get knowledge about DHCP (digital host configuration protocol)
used to give IP automatically and DNSS(domain name service)used to name conversion.
The last day of the class i worked in the maintenances room. in this class first I depressing my
hand(shake on the computer) then opened the computer mother bored I can see some
components.CPU,RAM,CMOS,EXPANTSIONSLOT,capacitor,transistor,chips,jumper,ATX,SA
TAnd ATA. This components are different activity.

CONCULUSION

Generally, the internship program mode the generations who join university for the feature give
them good understanding with both theoretical and practical knowledge before their graduation.
in OBN organization in the ICT(information technology)have how the data is transfer through
cable and network and also the topology that used in OBN. Maintenance rooms keeping the
device as it. This means keeping the originality of the device. the workers have wide duty in
their room like component identification, component character, measuring ,design and so on.
Have also preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance.
