Members’ Meeting
Our next church members’ meeting is on Wednesday 26th February. These are essential times in
our life as a church family, when we come together to discern the plans that God has for us. Please
make sure you come to this meeting well prepared - both by reading the papers in advance, and by
praying into the issues to be discussed.
Scots Quiz & Supper Night
Following last year’s very successful evening, there will be another Scottish themed evening on
Saturday 22nd Feb. Tickets are £8 in advance from Linda. This is a great event to bring a friend to!
Diaconate elections
Every year we elect deacons to serve for a three year period. Nominations for that election will be opened
in March - please pray about who should be asked to stand, and that God will bring the right people to office.
From Sunday 16th we’re starting a new series called “Light, Love and
Truth”, looking at the three letters from John the apostle. All three were
written to a group of churches facing disagreement and controversy over
who Jesus was. John’s aim was to remind them of, and encourage them
to stay true to, what they already knew - the truth that Jesus is the Son of
God - fully human, and at the same time, fully God.
If you haven’t yet returned your Stewardship response form or your building
project pledge form, there’s still time to do so! The financial pledges should
go in the offering bag (or to Lyn), and the Stewardship forms should go be
returned to the box on the welcome table, or given to John.
