ABSTRAK
ABSTRACT
Intraocular pressure (IOP) is the pressure produced by the humorous aquos that
fills the front eye chamber and behind eye chamber. Normal IOP values are 10-22
mmHg. Various systemic factors such as hypertension and diabetes mellitus can
affect Intraocular Pressure.

This study uses a correlational method using cross sectional from 120 medical
records at the UKI General Hospital and analyzed bivariately using the SPSS
program. The results showed data from the Relationship between Dextra
Intraocular Pressure in Diabetics and Nondiabetic patients obtained 94 patients
(78.3%) who had IOP ≤ 22 mmHg and 26 patients (21.6%) who had IOP> 22
mmHg and data results from the relationship between Intraocular Pressure Sinistra
in Diabetes and Nondiabetic Patients received 97 patients (80.83%) who had IOP
≤ 22 mmHg and 23 patients (19.17%) who had IOP> 22 mmHg. Chi square test
results obtained a value of P <0.05 ie P = 0.008 for IOP dextra and P = 0.010 for
IOP sinistra which means it must match between increasing IOP in diabetic
patients with an increase in the ratio of r = 0.234 for IOP dextra and r = 0.233 for
IOP sinistra and obtained a weak correlation.
