Author and Illustrator

Catherine lives with her husband and three daughters on a small holding outside Stellenbosch. She is kept busy with her writing, illustrating, chickens, fruit trees and gardening. She is also involved with the not-for-profit initiative, Siphosenkosi, (NPO 048-026) who trains previously disadvantaged women to make an African rag doll called Nosipho. The doll is featured in each of the Thandi books. Catherine's passion is to see children in crisis, foster care or suffering from the effects of HIV/ AIDS, get their own doll and book.

Thandi needs new shoes and she knows the~ will cost a lot at mone~ tor her Gogo. So together the~ work out a plan to get the mone~ with a little bit at help trom Nosipho her doll and Pepi her pet cock.
