The price of KeBal products are cheap and it
focus on the quality of foods which parents
wanted.

Parents and children can have choose different Since the food was developed by the nutritionist

Indonesian people can create a bento that made
from popular cartoon characters as they can
easily attract on the things that are colorful and
cute.
They can also offer fruit candies or fruit shakes
that suited to the taste of the children.

KeBal cook early in the morning from 12:30 am to Traffic issue in North Jakarta
6:00 am before the vendor sell it to the public, If
Kebal can have food truck they can serve fresh
cooked food.
KeBal food cart has limited route around North
Jakarta, with the food truck they can now serve
around the city.
Originally KeBal offers rice porridge, fruit jellies,
baked macaroni and meatballs but due to time
constraints they cooked rice porridge and fruit
jellies only but with the help of food truck they
can provide different food varieties that suited
for children’s appetite.

RECOMMENDATION

As per reading the case study, KeBal can focus on improving their food cart to a food truck
where they easily serve nutritious foods around North Jakarta at the same time they are still focused on
their advocacy which is giving proper nutritious foods for children ages 5 and below. Due to rampant
growth of malnutrition in Jakarta and with training they learnt from Ibu Ana, KeBal is starting to change
from a non-profit program to a small business. Having a food car/truck, they have now a time to serve
different varieties of food aside from rice porridge and fruit jellies.

KeBal will not be limited on the cities in North Jakarta, they can serve now outside North Jakarta
without losing its primary objective to help the parents giving nutritious foods for children and
diminished malnutrition in Indonesia.

to find spacious empty
truck and the same time
they need to look advance
cooking equipment so that
they can serve fresh
cooked foods
- It will also take time to
design a truck that suited
on the eyes of the children.

CONCLUSION

KeBal is already successful as it was, even before it started as a business. They already gathered
loyal customers which 97% of customers in North Jakarta buys their product at least three times a week.
The food is adjusted on the taste and liking of the children and the prices are cheap. They also fulfilled
their advocacy which is eliminating the malnutrition and giving proper guidance for parents in giving
foods.

Even they already have loyal customers, there still some people who dissatisfied on what they
offer as they were limited only on two nutritious foods which are rice porridge and fruit jellies. With the
training they learnt from Ibu Ana and with the help of Mercy Corps they can now improve their carts
into truck/cars which help them to serve different kind of foods and it will be serve as freshly cooked
foods while not losing its mission to serve good foods for children.
