Transition Program
Dedicated to aiding persons with special needs ages 18-22 through education, work, and life
skills this program provides ongoing Expressive Arts Classes (visual art), and Creative Theatre
and Movement Groups. Sponsored by the Santa Barbara High School District, classes are held
at Santa Barbara City College.
Program: Creative Art and/or Creative Theatre and Dance
Schedule: Every Other Friday 12:00 – 2:00 pm (can come at 11:00am for lunch w/ kids)

Program: “Theatre of Imagination” Creative Theatre and Movement class (for ages 6-12)

Transition House
For 25 years, Transition House has provided food, shelter and services to Santa Barbara's
families who have lost their housing. Each year, the Transition House Auxiliary organizes this
fun and popular event. Proceeds benefit the many diversified, effective programs and services
that Transition House provides to homeless families with children.
Garden Court
Garden Court offers an independent and fulfilling lifestyle to Santa Barbara seniors and is a
lively community where planned and impromptu activities are a part of their every day.
Braille Institute
Braille Institute is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to eliminate barriers to a fulfilling
life caused by blindness and severe sight loss. The Institute provides an environment of hope
and encouragement for people who are blind and visually impaired through integrated
educational, social and recreational programs and services. The organization provides
assistance to more than 75,000 people across five regional centers in Southern California and
through more than 350 Community Outreach locations.

Work Training Programs, Inc (Returning Program)
WTP offers a variety of employment services to assist individuals with disabilities or
disadvantages to overcome barriers to employment by strategically placing them in work
environments that are compatible with their interests, talents and abilities.
