PREFACE

As a part of my study I have chosen the topic of Training Effectiveness. In


the rapidly growing competitive world it is very for each and every industry to
preserve their employees. The employees have become the backbone of every
industry and thus a lot depends on them for the well being of the company. An
employee basically needs Training from the company, so in order to find out
Training Effectiveness in company so I have chosen this topic.

Training Effectiveness is the basic need of the company


hour because; if the employees aren’t skillfull then the employees are bound to
leave the company and thus would be a loss to the company. In the study one
can find out why it is so much important and what steps does the company have
to tale to keep their employees satisfied.

Thus Training Effectiveness is of utmost importance in order


to ensure the long term smooth functioning of the company.

EVEREST KANTO CYLINDER LIMITED manufacturers of high


pleasure seamless gas cylinders. The company EVEREST KANTO CYLINDER
LIMITED has many branches in India. Main manufacturing plants are

gas cylinder. In cylinder years EVEREST
KANTO CYLINDER LIMITED pronounced as
Asia’s member one company in manufacturing
of gas cylinders.
EVEREST KANTO CYLINDER LIMITED has capacity to produce
cylinders from 1 to 280 liters water capacity and working pressure from 750 to
400 bar (test pressure up to 650 bars)

The company EVEREST KANTO CYLINDER LIMITED produces many


kinds of gas cylinders like fire fighting and beverage application cylinder,
cylinders of compressed industrial gases, CNG vehicles cylinder, medical
cylinders etc… they also produce big or say jumbo cylinders for CNG pump
storage and for many applications.

company produces manly 4 types of cylinder.

(1) Cylinders for compressed industrial

gases

(2) Cylinders for CNG vehicles


(3) Seamless cylinders for fire-fighting and beverage applications

(4) Medical cylinder

Cylinders for compressed industrial gases:-

The gas industry relies heavily on cylinders to store and transport gases.
Because the cylinders are liked with gases under high pressure,. They can be
volatile. So they must be enough to withstand rough handling during
transportation to prevent accident.

EVEREST KANTO CYLINDER Limited’s high pressure gas cylinders for


oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, helium, air etc… are designed to withstand
such rough handling. For one they are made of high quality seamless steel
tubes using state of the art CNG machines cylinders for domestic market
produced as per is-7285 certified by the BUREAU OF INDIAN STANDARD (ISI)
and approved by the controlled of explosives government of India

The company provides cylinder water capacity that ranges between one
liter and 280 liters and also supplies the size we needed.

CNG cylinder that are designed and manufactured to company with highest
national and international standard we have high quality seamless steel CNG
cylinder at most all kinds of vehicles like three wheelers, cars, buses and delivery
vehicles.
EVEREST KANTO CYLINDER LIMITED provides High quality
cylinders fitting strength usage life and to ensure safety and reliability under
extreme climate conditions they provides cylinders with or without valves and
with neck threads according to customers satisfaction full types of cylinders are
epoxy coated on the outside to offer protection against rough handling.

Seamless cylinders for fire-fighting and beverage


Applications:-
EVEREST KANTO CYLINDER LIMITED high pressure gas cylinders
are ideal to store carbon dioxide CO2 Gas which is used to store Rae rated as a
propellant for fire extinguishes beverages and beer kegs and to inflate ruffed
rafts.

The EVEREST KANTO CYLINDER LIMITED range is wide and


includes small cylinders with water capacity of between one liter to 34 liters and
ones for system applications (46.7 liters to 280 liters). We provide light weight
CO2 cylinder that CNG be used for hand held and portable wheel-type fire
extinguishers and for beverage industry.

They not only apply cylinder with neck threading that meets us
requirement but also with other things like values and guard cups painted with
colors that meet national and other standers.

Medical cylinders:-

Gases like oxygen and nitrous oxide are extensively used in the health for
patients as per need for help breathing. For administrating anesthesia during
operations etc… so cylinders not only need to be safe they have to be free it
containments as well.
EVEREST KANTO CYLINDER LIMITED medical gas cylinders comply
with stringent national and international standards and there for they have to
ensure the customers that they have smooth clean internal surfaces to prevent
contain in ants trapped in them. They can supply the cylinders with bull nose or
pin index values. The external surface of these cylinders is coated with good
quality enamel epoxy paint to meet Indian standard or to full fill the specific
customer’s requirements.

One more type of cylinder they have stated making is the jumbo
cylinders. This cylinder is very big in size and can store much amount of water
gas. These cylinders are used at the gas storage in CNG pump and in factories.
These types of cylinders are also used in big ship and in submarine. This
cylinders are very costly and heavy duty.

MANUFACTURING PROCESS OF THE CYLINDER

EVEREST KANTO CYLINDER LIMITED manufactures its cylinders from


superior quality alloy steel seamless tubes at its state of the art modern
production plants at Aurangabad and Tarapure.

The manufacturing process determines the utility of every cylinder and


therefore it is carried out with at most responsibility. The tube ends are heated
the ideal temperature range in a production furnace for the computerized
numerical control (Cnc) hot spinning in conjunction with an optical pyrometer that
ensures precise temperature control to guarantee the finest grain structure and
protect grain flow maximum strength.
The heat treatment is carried out in a continue walking beam furnace
featuring accurate precision temperature control.

The cylinders are either normalized or hardened quenching in oil with


subsequent tempering according applications and requisite material properties.
Reference data or heat treatments are thoroughly documented by time
temperature plots.
The tolerance range stipulated in company standards is considerably
close to the strength variations permitted in national and international standards
and specifications.
Metallurgical properties are verified by means of examination and analysis
mechanical properties are verified by means of destructive testing. The neck
threading is carried out to close tolerances on modern high performance CNG
machines.
All gauges and measuring equipments used under go regular calibration
checking. Cylinders are also subjected to non destructive ultrasonic examination
for flows.

services to their employees and workers. It is very necessary for the companies
to provide best services to their laborer because that they can get better out put
from them. If the laborers are satisfied than they will continue work at that

INTRODUCTION OF TRAINING

every organisation needs to have well trained & experienced


people to perform the activities that have to be done if the current or potential job
occupied can not meet this requirement training is not important but when this is
not the case it is necessary to raise the skill levels increase the variety &
adaptability of employees development also increase.

TRAINING is a learning process that involves the acquisition of


knowledge, sharpening of skills, concepts, rules, or changing of attitudes and
behaviours to enhance the performance of employees.

Training is the process of learning a sequence of programmed behavior it


is application of knowledge it gives people an answerless of the values it
attempted to improve their performance on the current job development is a
related process. it covers not only that activity which improve their job
performance, but also those which being about growth of the personality so that
they become not only good employees but better man & women.

Training is the corner stone of sound management for it makes employees


more effective & productive it is actively connected with a; the personal &
management activity it is an integrated part of whole management program.
Training is the part of increasing the knowledge & skill of an employees for doing
a particular job.
BASIC PURPOSE OF TRAINING

The need for the training of respondents would be clear from


the observation made by the different authorities. Training is the out
of increasing the knowledge and skill of an employees for doing a
particular job. Company decided the training program on the basis of
objective which are very important for their company

 To increase productivity
 To improve quality
 To help a company fulfill its future personal needs.
 To improve organisation climate
 To improve health & safety
 Personal growth
 Training is reduces the labour problems.

Training is normally concentrated on the important of opration

Reason for training (training “needs”)

If a clear need for training has been identified, an organization should be able to
Determine that the training is effective. The “need” for training should be
documented along with the reasons behind it.

Without a clearly defined need, an organization may not be able to


determine its training effectiveness. There are several ways to identify and
document training needs. From best practices and input received by the
International Atomic Energy Agency a method that has been effective is provided
in the following sections.

The method is known as “table top training needs assessment/analysis.”


The United States Department of Energy and other Member States have used
this or similar methods that have been effective in determining whether training is
appropriate to address the performance need before devoting the resources to
develop training materials.

With this information, sufficient baseline information is available to develop


the training and to document the set of performance deficiencies that exist. This
method clarifies job specific performance deficiencies that are then used to
design the training programmed. This method should be employed before a
training programmed is developed. It is also useful after training has been
developed to verify the validity of training needs.
IMPORTANCE OF TRAINING

EKC provides the training for the employees who are weak in
their work and also they provide refresher training, those employees
who are new join in work.

 They are help to employees for improve their self and gave job
satisfactory.
 They have to design typically method for training in short term
and stated purposes.
 Training given by technically so some non managerial personnel
can improve their self.
 Their main purpose of training is to specific job related skills.
 There are also given training to the existing respondents.
 EKC organization known the importance of training so they invest
their money in the training program because they know that they ill get
desired result in future from this training.
 With views the company sends their employees outside for
training. Likewise how get the news from city and how broadcast the
news.
 Some employees are take training from inside of production
department, some are from marketing department.

Some organizational and individual training needs are not as


clearly defined as others even when training needs to be obvious is
still necessary to choose appropriate methods that will meet them.
Many training needs are not so obvious.

a training needs assessment is one of the most basic and


common forms of assessment used by H.R.D. professionals in the
work place needs assessment help determine that training program
have to the people being trained.

`Gupta in his book a practical guide to need assessment


gives the following over view of the training needs assessment.
“A needs assessment provides the information that is usually
necessary for designing training program the basic purpose of a
training needs assessment is two fold. to identify the knowledge and
skill that people must possess in order to perform effectively on the job
and. To prescribe appropriate intervention that cans these gaps.”

Some performance problem can be addressed by training


some problems training cant fix training isn’t the answer to a problem
when it is used to cover up the symptoms. a needs assessment
avoids misdiagnosing a non- training problem as a training problem.

On the job training gives employees opportunity to top into a


pool of workers who are good candidates for a job but may need
additional training to be qualified for the market place employer benefit
in many ways.

Off the job training means training given to employees by way

EKC line managers and HR TRAINEE bear the primary responsibility to
assure that people perform their jobs safely and effectively. Training personnel
must be responsive to the needs of the organization, working hand-in-hand with
line managers and supervisors to ensure that training needs are properly
analyzed, and that training is developed and implemented in the most effective
and efficient way possible.

The training organization must actively and continually communicate with


the line organization, and the principles cited below are not intended to be a
replacement for the fundamental need for communication.

WHAT IS RESEARCH DESIGN

Research design can be thought of as the structure of


research it is the “glue” that holds all of the element in a design using
a concise notation that enable us to summaries a complex design
structure efficiently, what are the element that a design include?
Research design provides the glue that holds the research project
together a design is used to structure the research to show how all of
the major parts of the research project. The samples of groups’
measures treatment or program, and method of assignment.

Research design must contain

 A clear statement of research problem.

 Procedure and technique to be used for gathering


information
 Methods to be used in processing and analyzing data.

There are three different research design to study such


topic

(2) Descriptive method
(3) Hypotheses method

Here, in this design there are three types methods such as the
survey of concerning, I have select DESCRIPTIVE METHOD for my
research in training effectiveness in EKC.
INSTRUMENT OF DATA COLLECTION

Sources of data collection are many likes; internet and


reference book etc. all these sources are helps in the project.
Researcher collected all the information from the company web Site,
the books & internet and magazine. And also from the fill up the
questioner by employees in the EKC. While deciding about the
method of data collection to be used for the study the researcher
should be keeping in mind two types of data.

PRIMARY DATA:-

This data which are collected for the first time & that is
happen to be original in character. There are several methods of
collecting the primary data. Some methods are covered primary data.
