Bagian 2: Langkah Awal Sebelum Instalasi

1. Bila Anda tidak mengerti mengenai prosedur pemasangan/instalasi kompor listrik , sebaiknya
Anda menghubungi MODENA Service Center untuk melakukan pemasangan/instalasi.

2. Siapkan perlengkapan penunjang yang dibutuhkan untuk pemasangan/instalasi seperti :

- Obeng
- Tang, dll

3. Siapkan stop kontak/jaringan listrik yang mudah terjangkau oleh kabel power kompo r listrik Anda.

Bagian 3: Instalasi

Bukalah kardus pembungkus kompor listrik , lalu keluarkan kompor listrik tersebut dan letakkan pada
permukaan yang rata.

Perhatian !!!

1. Sumber listrik harus diletakkan di tempat yang mudah terjangkau oleh kabel power.
2. Kompor listrik ini membutuhkan tegangan listrik 220~230 V/ 50 Hz, 30 dengan fuse minimal 32 A
2
(BI 1640) atau 16 A (BI 1320), dengan kabel power minimal 3 core x 2.5 mm .

MENYESUAIKAN KOMPOR LISTRIK PADA MEJA DAPUR
- Kompor listrik dapat dipasan g pada meja dapur selama meja tersebut tahan terhadap panas
sekitar 85°C. Periksalah apakah ukuran lubang pada meja dapur sudah s esuai untuk diletakkan
kompor listrik.

- Ukuran lubang untuk memasang kompor listrik pada meja dapur adalah sebagai berikut :

Perhatian !!!

- Jika kompor dipasang dengan oven di bawahnya, panel

pemisah harus diletakkan di antara bagian bawah kompor
dan kerangka di bawa hnya dengan jarak minimum 10 cm,
ikuti juga instruksi pemasangan oven.

- Jika kompor dipasang tanpa oven di bawahnya, panel

pemisah harus diletakkan di antara bagian bawah kompor
dan kerangka di bawahnya dengan jarak minimum 15 cm.

- Untuk menghindari arus pendek, kabel listrik untuk kedua

perlatan tersebut harus terpisah.

MEMASANG KOMPOR LISTRIK PADA LUBANG MEJA DAPUR

Untuk memasang kompor listrik pada lubang meja dapur Anda, lakukanlah hal di bawah ini :

Siapkan stop kontak untuk kompor listrik . S elain BI 1320 kabel

power langsung disambung pada jaringan listrik yang melalui
MCB.

Perhatian :
Sebaiknya stop kontak tidak dicabangkan/dipararel dengan
pengunaan yang lain

Lekatkan Seal Adhesive (perekat) di sepanjang tepi kompor

bagian bawah. Hal ini diperlukan untuk menjaga kelembaban
pada bagian bawah kompor listrik.

 Letakkan kompor listrik pada lubang meja dapur , lalu untuk
mengencangkan gunakan penjepit (clamp) yang telah tersedia
pada kemasan perlengkapan kompor listrik.

Pastikan semua telah terpasang dengan benar kemudian pasang kable power kompor listrik pada
stop kontak.

Perhatian:
Untuk selain BC 1320 tidak dilengkapi steker, jadi kabel power harus disambung langsung
dengan jaringan listrik yang melalu MCB.

Bagian 4: Cara Penggunaan

Penting untuk diperhatikan :
- Sebelum menggunakan kompor ini untuk pertama kalinya, bersihkan permukaan kompor terlebih
dahulu.
- Kompor listrik ini menggunakan sensor induksi magnet yang hanya dapat bekerja jika
menggunakan peralatan memasak dari bahan metal/baja dengan lapisan enamel atau baja
stainless.
- Kompor ini tidak dapat bekerja jika menggunakan peralatan dari bahan seperti kaca, keramik,
aluminum atau peralatan memasak lain yang terbuat dari bahan yang tidak dapat berinduks i
dengan magnet.
- Peralatan memasak dengan permukaan bawah tidak rata sempurna juga tidak dapat diguakan
untuk kompor ini, dan dapat beresiko merusak permukaan kompor.

MENYALAKAN AREA MEMASAK (ZONE COOKING)

Untuk menyalakan area memasak (zone cooking) dengan mudah, nyalakanlah kompor listrik sebelum
meletakkan peralatan masak tepat berada di tengah-tengah lingkaran area memasak (zone cooking).

Sentuh symbol power ON/OFF selama 3 detik untuk menghidupkan area

memasak (zone cooking) , hal ini ditandai de ngan bunyi suara “beep” dan
lampu indikator akan menyala bersamaan

Pilihlah area memasak (zone cooking) dengan cara menyentuh simbol posisi
area memasak (zone cooking) yang akan dinyalakan pada kontrol panel.

Untuk memperbesar/memperkecil pemanasan pada area memasak (zone

cooking) yang sedang menyala :

Sentuh dan tahan si mbol plus (+) untuk memperbesar pemanasan atau
simbol minus ( -) untuk memperkecil pemanasan . Hal ini ditandai dengan nilai
angka pada kontrol panel (1 sampai 9)

Untuk mematikan area memasak (zone cooking) :

Sentuh simbol minus (–) hingga LED pada k ontrol panel mati atau sentuh
simbol power ON/OFF atau

Untuk mengkunci sistem operasi :

Sentuh simbol pengunci (hingga ter dengar suara “beep”) untuk meng unci
semua simbol yang ada pada kontrol panel sehingga tidak berfungsi. Untuk
mengaktifkan kembali tekan simbol pengunci (hingga terdengar suara
“beep”).
CATATAN :
- Jika selama 10 detik tidak dilakukan pemilihan area memasak (zone cooking) untuk
memasak maka secara otomatis unit akan berada dalam kondisi off (mati).
- Gunakan peralatan memasak dengan permukaan dasar yang rata serta diameter yang
sesuai dengan area memasak (zone cooking) yang digunakan.
- Berat beban peralatan memasak dan bahan masakan maksimal 10 kg.

Bagian 5: Pemeliharaan

Kompor listrik MODENA dirancang secara khusus untuk pemakaian jangka waktu panjang sehingga
tidak memerlukan perawatan yang rumit. Namun, ada beberapa hal yang dianjurkan untuk merawat
kompor listrik Anda agar kualitas kompor tetap terjaga.

Permukaan KACA/ KERAMIK

Bersihkan bagian kaca/keramik yang kotor dengan menggunaka n lap basah atau pembersih khusus
untuk bahan kaca/keramik, kemudian keringkan dengan menggunakan lap yang berbahan halus.

PERHATIAN :
- Pembersihan pada kaca/Keramik dilakukan pada saat kaca/keramik tidak dalam keadaan panas.
Kecuali : jika kaca/keramik terkena gula atau cairan yang mengandung kadar gula t inggi, segera
bersihkan kaca/keramik, (hati - hati dalam melakukan hal ini, karena dapat menyebabkan luka
bakar).
- Selalu matikan area memasak (zone cooking) dan cabut kabel power dari stop kontak jika
diperlukan sebelum membersihkan kompor listrik Anda.
- Jangan gunakan cairan pembersih yang dapat merusak kaca/ keramik
- Gunakan kain/lap yang halus dan tidak menimbulkan gores pada kaca/keramik kompor listrik
Anda

Bagian 6: Tindakan Pencegahan

- Selalu kecilkan panas pada area memasak (zone cooking) atau matikan area memasak (zone
cooking) sebelum mengangkat peralatan masak Anda .
- Selama proses memasak, lemak atau minyak harus diperlakukan secara hati -hati karena bahan
ini dapat menimbulkan kebakaran jika mencapai suhu tertentu.
- Setelah kompor listrik selesai diguna kan lampu indaktor (H) akan tetap menyala hingga seluruh
suhu area memasak (zone cooking)) telah dingin, jangan menyentuh area memasak (zoen
cooking) jika lampu indikator masih dalam keadaan menyala
- Hindari penyambungan listrik dengan menggunakan sambungan kabel.
- Jika terjadi sesuatu hal yang tidak normal pada kompor listrik Anda, matikan unit dan lepaskan
kabel power dari stop kontak kemudian segera hubungi MODENA Service Center.
- Sebaiknya matikan kompor dan cabut kabel power dari stop kontak setiap selesa i memasak atau
jika kompor listrik tidak digunakan dalam waktu lama. untuk B I 1640 matikan aliran listrik melalui
MCB.
- Lakukan service secara rutin pada kompor Anda setiap 3 (tiga) bulan sekali, karena jika terdapat
kelainan pada kompor gas Anda, dapat seg era diketahui dan diperbaiki.

 Bagian 7: Masalah & Solusinya
Lakukan pengecekan terhadap hal-hal di bawah ini sebelum menghubungi Service Center kami, bila
terjadi gangguan pada kompor listrik Anda :

1. Apakah steker kabel power tersebut sudah terpasang atau

tersambung dengan benar ?
Kompor tidak bekerja
2. Apakah terdapat tegangan listrik pada stop kontak ?

3. Apakah kabel pada unit terputus ?

1. Apakah steker atau kabel power tersebut sudah terpasang atau

 Part 1: Name of Parts

Part 2: Preparations before Installation

1. If you are not familiar with the induction cooker installation procedure, please contact MODENA
Service Center for installation.

2. Prepare supporting equipments required for installation, such as:

- Screwdriver
- Pliers, etc

3. Prepare an electric outlet easily accessible for your induction cooker power cord.

Part 3: Installation

Open the induction cooker packaging, remove the induction cooker and place it on an even surface.

Warning !!!

1. The power outlet must be placed within the reach of the power cord.
2. This induction cooker requires 220 – 230V/50 Hz with a minimum fuse of 32 A (BI 1640) or 16A
(BI 1320) with a minimum power cord of 3 core x 2.5 mm2.

INSTALLING THE INDUCTION COOKER ON THE KITCHEN COUNTER

- Induction cooer can be placed on the kitchen counter as long as the counter can withstand the
heat of around 85°C. Check whether the niche on the kitchen counter is compatible with the
induction cooker.

- The size requirements for installing induction cooker on the kitchen counter:

Attention:

- If the induction cooker is installed with an oven below it,

separator panel must be placed between the bottom of the stove
and the frame below it at a minimum distance of 10 cm.

- If the induction cooker is installed without oven on the bottom,

the minimum distances to put the separator panel is 15 cm

- Electrical cable from both equipments must be installed

separately to avoid short circuit.

INSTALLING THE INDUCTION COOKER ON KITCHEN SET TABLE

To install an induction cooker on the kitchen counter niche, follow these instructions:

Prepare a power outlet for the induction cooker. Power cord is directly
plugged into a power outlet through MCB, except for BI 1320 .

Attention:
Do not use branched / paralleled power outlet, if possible

Post the seal adhesive along the sides of the stove's bottom part to
maintain humidity in the bottom area of the induction cooker.

Place the induction cooker on the kitchen counter niche, and use the
available clamp from the induction cooker packaging to faste n the
screws.

Make sure all parts have been installed and fastened and plug the
stove power cord into the power outlet.

Attention:
Stoves aside from BI 1320 model are not equipped with a switch, and the power cord must be
directly plugged into the power outlet through MCB.

Part 4: How to Use

Important to Notice:
- Clean the stove surface thoroughly before using the stove for the first time.
- This induction cooker uses a magnet induction sensor which operates on metal / steel
cooking devices with enamel or stainless coating.
- This stove does not operate on utensils made from materials such as glass, ceramic,
aluminum or other cooking utensils which are not affected by magnet induction.
- Cooking utensils with non-even bottom cannot be used on this stove. Further use will result in
damage to the stove surface.

ACTIVATING COOKING ZONE

To activate the cooking zone, turn on the induction cooker before placing the cooking utensil directly
on the center of the cooking zone area.

Touch the ON/OFF power symbol for 3 seconds to activate the

cooking zone. The stove will emit a "beep" sound and the indicator will
light.

Select the cooking zone by touching the PLUS position in accordance

with the cooking zone to be activated on the control panel

To increase / decrease the heat in t he activated cooking zone:

Touch and hold the plus (+) sign to increase the heat or the minus ( -)
to decrease the heat . It is marked by the numbers on the control panel
(1 to 9)

To deactivat e the cooking zone:

Touch the minus ( -) symbol until the LED on the control panel is turned or
off or Touch the ON/OFF symbols

To lock the operation system:
Touch the lock symbol (until the "beep" sound) to lock all symbols on
the control panel so that they cannot be activated accidentally. Touch
the lock symbol once again to activate it (until the "beep").

NOTES:
- If incorrect cooking utensil is placed in the cooking zone , the unit will be automatically in
off condition.
- Use the cooking utensil with an even bottom and the diameter which fits the cooking zone.
- The maximum weight of cooking utensil and the cooking m aterial is 10 kg.

Part 5: Maitenance

The MODENA Induction cooker is designed specifically for long term usage and does not require
complicated maintenance. However, there are several advices on how to maintain the quality of your
stove.

GLASS / CERAMIC Surface

Clean the dirty part of the glass / ceramic using a wet cloth or a special glass / ceramic cleaner, and
then dry it using a fine cloth.

ATTENTION:
- Glass / Ceramic must be cleaned under cool condition, unless if stained with sugar or liquid with
high content of sugar, in which case the glass / ceramic must be immediately cleaned, (be careful
when doing this, as there's a risk of burn).
- Always turn off the cooking zone and unplug the power cord from the power outlet when
necessary before cleaning your induction cooker.
- Do not use any cleaning agent that can damage the glass / ceramic .
- Use a fine cloth and avoid scratching your glass / ceramic.

Part 6: Precaution Action

- Always reduce the heat in the cooking zone or turn off the cooking zone before removing your
cooking utensil.
- Oil or fat must be treated with caution during the cooking process since the material is flammable
at certain temperature.
- After the induction cooker is done cooking, the indicator lamp (H ) will still be on until the entire
cooking zone is cooled off. Do not touch the cooking zone if the indicator lamp is still on.
- Avoid power cord wiring extension.
- In the case of an anomaly on your induction cooker, turn off the unit and unplug the power c able
from the power outlet and immediately contact the MODENA Service Center.
- Turn off the stove and unplug the power cord from the power outlet after cooking is finished or
when the induction cooker is not used for an extended period of time. For BI 1640, turn off the
power through the MCB.
- Routinely service your stove once every 3 (three) months so that any anomaly on your gas stove
can be immediately fixed.

 Part 7: Problem & Solving
Make some preventive checking before you Call Service Center if you have any operational problem
as below:

1. Is the power cord plugged correctly?
The induction cooker is
inoperable 2. Is there electricity running through the power outlet?

3. Is the cable on the unit disconnected?

1. Is the power otlet or cord properly plugged?

Cooking zone is not
functioning 2. Make sure the zone cooking symbol is selected and the
heat is arranged in accordance to needs.

Contact our Service Center for repairs if the aforementioned issues prevail
