ABSTRACT

Today in the present world everything has become very fast because of
technological advancement people don’t have time to spend. In day today life every
second has become important to everyone. Everyone had started using every second in
their life Everything had been made easy in new technologies.

The project titled as “ELECTRONIC SHOWROOM MANAGEMENT


SYSTEM” is designed with the motive of maintaining all the database of the showroom.
The basic aim of the project is develop a systematic database which is very simple, user
friendly, easy retrieval and simple acess. The “ELECTRONIC SHOWROOM
MANAGEMENT SYSTEM” is to maintain the process in computerized form and
therefore retrieving the corresponding details from the data will be a simple process.
INTRODUCTION
The project title “ELECTRONIC SHOWROOM MANAGEMENT”
is developed using Visual basic 6.0 as frontend and Microsoft Access as back end.

The system maintains the details of customer details, stock details,


purchasing details, sales details, agency details, employee details. Which is also helps to
make maintains the stock of electronic goods accurately with adequate details of the
purchase and Sales of it.

The stock reveals the updated stock the quantity in hand and the
current rate of each of product. The names and address of customer and purchase can be
referred while billing. The sales made in showroom which make the billing process easier
with the help of this system. The system reveals the updated stock, the quantity in hand and
the current rate of each product.

To provide information about each and every stock available in


show room its basic purpose is to maintain stock details and inform on time, If any of the
stock is going out of stock along with the various other information’s related to its sources
6.0.2SYSTEM ANALYSIS

EXISTING SYSTEM

The existing system of “ ELECTRONIC SHOWROOM


MANAGEMENTSYSTEM” Project explains about a software application which is useful
for a showroom owners for maintaining purchased items EMI installments information and
other information related to purchased items. It comprises of the manual working on excel
sheets and registers. Due to increasing customer of the electronic store. It is very difficult
to handle the transactions manually. The existing system consists of selling items in three
ways which are as follows:

1. Cash basis: The customer will select the items of purchase and go to the
counter. The accountant will then count the items, enter their codes and prices in the excel
sheets, and then prepare a manual bill on the cash memo

2. Credit basis: The customer will select the items and go to the counter. The
accountant will then enter the credit card number on excel sheets and prepare the bill after
counting the items and their prices. He will then give the bill to the customer. At the end of
the month all bills all collected and sometimes residual balance is carried forward.

3.Home delivery: The customers make a call from their home and put an order.
The ordered items are entered in the computer and sent to customers. Home delivery is
only on cash basis. Base of the system: The system is developed on MS-Excel 2007. The
spread sheets are prepared for every item, credit customers and inventory calculation.
There is no system of automatic receipts so cash memo is used.

4.Lots of stationary: The receipts are made on cash memo, it requires a lot of cash
memo registers. Due to increasing clientage of showroom its takes too much time and
papers for a single day. Almost 200 customers visit the showroom every day. So that
means 200 printed papers are required every day.

5.Goodwill at stack: The slowness of the system is loosing customers. The


goodwill of the company Requires human resource decreasing.
6.Updating is hard: If the prices of various products are changed at once then it is
hard to update the prices in less time.

Disadvantages of Existing System :-

 The existing System required more time for processing.


 The process is very slow and lengthy.
 Not any type of security is provide so it may lost data.
 Difficult to search the pervious data.
 More men power is required.
 More stationery is required

PROPOSED SYSTEM

The proposed system is Visual basic & MS-Access database


system. It is widely used and recommended system in large departmental stores. The
system is based on latest developments in database around the globe. It covers almost
every aspect of a showroom. It is interlinked with the automatic receipt machine. The
machine develops the receipts on the basis of data stored in the system. The insertion,
deletion and updating anomalies are reduced to the maximum extent that ensures optimum
results. The system also provides the facility of credit card and EMI operations. The credit
card numbers are fed and the machine is linked with the banks to check the sufficient
balances of the customers. For home delivery, The addresses of the customers are fed in
the system. So the customer calls and makes an order either by phone call or e-mail and his
required items are sent to the respective address as saved in the system.

The Advantages of Proposed system are:

1.Easy to use: It is quite easy to use. Only minimum number of persons are
required for each branch to handle the operations

2 .Life: It is ensured that the software is for lifetime. For this purpose
registered tools are used in the making.

3. Anti error & Anti virus:The system contains built in anti virus which is
registered and automatically updated with the internet. Itensures that no file is pirated and
changed through internet.The system also contains anti error operationswhich ensure the
correction of human errors.

4.Speed and Efficiency: It makes everything from inputting information to


taking inventory easier. Doing a hand count of inventory can take days, but with a
computerized inventory management system, the same process can be done in a matter of
hours.

5.Timely Data: With a manual system, the data is only as accurate and up to
date as the last hand count. With a computerized inventory management system, the
management team can pull a report and instantly see how many units are on the floor, how
many have sold and which products are selling the fastest.

Modules
This program is a menu driven program when we click the
main menu the different forms will be enabled, the program consisting following
modules:-

1. Login–Id

The administrator has to Login to the project to work with in


the project.If the username password are correct Next form will be opened. If it is wrong
next form will not open.

2. Customer details

It contains the following submenus they are as follows:

I. CASH ON DELIVERY

It contains the details of fields such as the customer


id,customer name,product,product details,quantity,amount,address

II. EMI

It holds the details of fields such as the Customer


id,Customer name,product,Product details,Quantity,Total amount,Due amount,No of
month Paid
3. Purchase details

It contains the following submenus they are as follows:

I. Agency_Id

It holds the details of fields such as the agency


id,agency name, product name,address,Bank a/c no, Phone no,E-mail.

II. Product_Id

It holds the details of fields such as the Product id,


Product name, company name, product type, product ratings.

4. Sales details

This module helps the shop owner to view the sales of his entire shop

for a single day or for a given duration of time. It holds the details of fields such as the

Product id, Product name,amount,quantity,total amount.

5. Employee details

It contains the following submenus they are as follows

I. Personal Details

It holds the details of fields such as the Employee id,


Employee name,qualification,address,phone no,E-mail.

II. Salary Details

It holds the details of fields such as the Employee id,

Employee name,designation,bank_a/c_no,branch,salary amount,No of day working.


CONCLUSION

The given project “ELECTRONIC SHOWROOM


MANGEMENT” was successfully and required reports are generated the project has been
designed to fulfill the needs of customer and showroom. The system is extremely user
friendly. The system is tested with real data.
The Result of live data are compacted with the actual
system verified for its accuracy. The system is flexible so that there is lot of scope to
update the system. As the system is flexible the system can be changed if any changes
come in future. The developed system is portable the developed system has been
completed which is customized for the satisfaction of the user. The system has been
Analyzed, Designed and developed with meticulous care and can be executed without any
faults or errors
