Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are

clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal
power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

A Sense of a Goose Length: 16-25 inches Wingspan: 50-68 inches

When you see geese flying along in "V"

formation, you might consider what
science has discovered as to why they
fly that way. As each bird flaps its
wings, it creates an uplift for the bird
immediately following. By flying in "V"
formation, the whole flock adds at
least 71 percent greater flying range
than if each bird flew on its own.

Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there
am I in the midst of them.

Psalm 133:1 {A Song of degrees of David.} Behold, how good and how pleasant
it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

People who share a common direction

and sense of community can get where
they are going more quickly and easily
because they are traveling on the
thrust of one another.

When a goose falls out of formation, it

suddenly feels the drag and resistance
of trying to go it alone - and quickly
gets back into formation to take
advantage of the lifting power of the
bird in front.

If we have as much sense as a goose,

we will stay in formation with those
people who are headed the same way
we are.

When the head goose gets tired, it

rotates back in the wing and another
goose flies point.

It is sensible to take turns doing

demanding jobs, whether with people
or with geese flying south.

The lead Goose never honks however

Geese honk from behind to encourage
those up front to keep up their speed.

What messages do we give when we

honk from behind?

Finally - and this is important - when

a goose gets sick or is wounded by
gunshot, and falls out of formation,
two other geese fall out with that
goose and follow it down to lend help
and protection. They stay with the
fallen goose until it is able to fly or
until it dies, and only then do they
launch out on their own, or with
another formation to catch up with
their group.
Matthew 11: 2 Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he
sent two of his disciples,

Matthew 18:16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more,
that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

Mark 6:7 And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two
and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits;

Luke 10:1 After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent
them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself
would come.

2 Corinthians 13:1 This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two
or three witnesses shall every word be established.

1 Timothy 5:19 Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or
three witnesses.
If we have the sense of a goose, we will
stand by each other like that.

Matthew 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and
with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

The Carpenter’s Tools

(Author Unknown)

The carpenter’s tools held a conference. Those in the meeting

informed Mr. Hammer that he must leave because he was too noisy.
“All right, I will leave,” said brother Hammer, “but if I go Mr. Screw
must leave also; you have to keep turning him around to get him to go
anywhere.”
Mr. Screw then said, ”If you wish, I will go, but Mr. Plane, too,
must leave. All his work is on the surface. There is never any depth to
it.”
To this, Mr. Plane replied, “Well, Ms. Rule will also have to
withdraw. She is always measuring folks as though she were the one
who is right.”
Ms. Rule complained against Mrs. Sandpaper, saying, “I just don’t
care. She is rougher than she ought to be and is always rubbing people
the wrong way.”
In the midst of these discussions, the Carpenter of Nazareth
walked in. He put on His apron and went to make a pulpit. He used the
hammer, saw, screw, sandpaper and all the other tools. When it was
finished, Mr. Saw arose and said, “Friends, I see we are all laborers
together with God.”
How many of us Christians are just like the tools? Every
accusation was true, yet the Divine Carpenter uses everyone. Each has
a place of service that no other person can fill.
