ABSTRAK: Kurang kreatifnya guru di dalam memilih model pembelajaran mebuat siswa
menjadi tidak aktif dan tidak bisa mengembangkan kemampuan yang dimiliki selama proses
pembelajaran sehingga menyebabkan pemahaman konsep dan literasi sains siswa kurang.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran berbasis kontekstual
berbantuan LKS terhadap pemahaman konsep dan literasi sains siswa kelas X di MA Ad-Diinul
Qayyim Gunungsari. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi experiment dengan rancangan
penelitian pretest-posttest control group design dengan 3 kali pertemuan. Populasi dalam
penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X MA Ad-Diinul Qayyim Gunungsari dengan sampel
kelas XC dan XD, pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik Purpossive Sampling atau sampel
yang bertujuan. Data pemahaman konsep siswa didapatkan dari hasil posttest yang diberikan
diakhir pertemuan dan data literasi sains siswa diperoleh dari lembar observasi literasi sains,
sedangkan data keterlaksanaan RPP diperoleh dari lembar keterlaksanaan RPP.Data pemahaman
konsep kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji-t. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data pemahaman
konsep diperoleh nilai rata-rata dan persentase ketuntasan klasikal diperoleh nilai berturut-turut
62,28 dan 44% pada kelas kontrol sedangkan pada kelas eksperimen nilai rata-rata dan
ketuntasan klasikal adalah 77,63 dan 95,45%. Pengujian hipotesis pemahaman konsep dilakukan
dengan rumus Polled Varians sehingga diperoleh nilai t hitung sebesar 6,73 dan t tabel 2,021 dengan
dk=45 pada taraf signifikan 5%. Karena t hitung > t tabel, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada
pengaruh pembelajaran berbasis kontekstual berbantuan LKS terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa
kelas X di MA Ad-Diinul Qayyim Gunungsari. Sedangkan untuk literasi sains siswa data yang
diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif.Berdasarkan hasil analisis, kelas kontrol memiliki nilai rata-
rata cukup baik dalam literasi sains sedangkan kelas eksperimen memiliki nilai rata-rata literasi
sains yang baik.
Teacher’s low creativity in choosing models of learning had made students become not active
and could not develop their ability during the teaching and learning process. This affected on
strudent’s low conceptual understanding and science literacy. This study aimed at finding out the
effect of contextual based learning with the aid of Working Item Sheets (LKS) toward student’s
conceptual understanding and science literacy of the tenth grade in MA Ad-Diinul Qayyim
Gunungsari. This was a quasi experimental research with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design.
This study was conducted in three times meetings. Population of the research was all tenth grade
students of MA Ad-Diinul Qayyim Gunungsari, and the samples of the research were X C and X
D. Sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Student’s conceptual understanding data
were gained from posttest given in the end of the learning. While science literacy data were
gained from observation sheet of science literacy, and lesson plan completeness data were
obtained from lesson plan sheets. Student’s conceptual understanding data were subsequently
tested using t-test. Based on the analysis, it was found that student’s average conceptual
understanding and classical completeness percentage were 62,28 and 44% in the control class,
while classical completeness percentage of the experimental class were 77,63 and 95,45%.
Hypothesis testing of student’s conceptual understanding used Polled Variance in which it was
found that t value was 6,73 and t table was 2,021 in the level of significance 5%. Because t value
is higer than t table, it can be concluded that there is an effect of contextual based learning with
the aid of Working Item Sheets (LKS) toward student’s conceptual understanding and science
literasy of the tenth grade in MA Ad-Diinul Qayyim Gunungsari. Meanwhile, student’s science
literacy was analyzed using descriptive analysis. Based on the analysis, it was found that the
average scores of control class were fair category, while the average scores of experimental class
were good category.
