Percy Jackson & Odysseus

My essay is about the hardships two heroes face.

Percy Jackson the son of Poseidon which makes him a
demigod, and Odysseus king of Ithaca who is a great
warrior. Both heroes face challenges bought upon by
the gods. These challenges include monsters like the
ferocious minotaur, or the lotus eaters peaceful
creatures that lure you in with the delectable lotus
flower.
While on a field trip Percy is attacked by a furie and
is taken to camp half blood by his best friend Grover
who is a satyr ½ man ½ goat, and Mr. Brunner who is a
centaur ½ man ½ horse. This camp is for demigods the
son and daughters of the gods. In the story of Odysseus
he is summoned to battle in the Trojan war by kings
Menelaus of Sparta, and Agamemnon of Mycenae to
save Helen wife of Menelaus kidnapped by Paris.
Percy has left camp due to Hades. Grover and
Annabeth daughter of Athena have joined him.
Meanwhile Odysseus has one the Trojan war but was
cursed by Poseidon and wound up on the island of the
Cyclopes. The whole camp half-blood was at a bonfire
when all of a sudden Hades erupts from the fire
demanding the lightning bolt, for his mother. Percy sets
out on a journey to save his mother. Meanwhile
Odysseus is captured by a Cyclopes named
Polyphemus. Him and his men blind the Cyclops by
jamming a wooden stake into his eye and escaping, he
brags and his ship is hit by a rock thrown by
Polyphemus. Percy gets to Hades and he gives him the
lightning bolt. Hades tries to use it for evil but Percy
and the group escape except for Grover. Odysseus has
arrived on Calypso’s island. When Percy gets to the
underworld he takes a boat to Hades’ lair. Hades’ wife
Persephone leads them to him. When Hades tries to
trap Percy and the group in the underworld Persephone
tricks him and zaps him with the lightning bolt knocking
him out. She then gives them the bolt and they all leave
except Grover because they only have three pearls and
they would need four to teleport to Olympus, they leave
the underworld and arrive in Olympus located in New
York City but when they get there Luke tries to kill
Percy but instead Percy kills Luke and they go in the
elevator to get to the palace of Olympus when they
arrive Percy gives Zeus the lightning bolt and peace is
restored upon the gods. The gang returns to camp half
blood and the story ends with Percy and Annabeth and
Percy sparring. Odysseus is trapped in Calypso’s island,
until one day Hermes comes down and says that she
needs to let him go he works night and day building a
raft. When he leaves Poseidon destroys the raft and
leaves Odysseus out at sea. Odysseus then realizes
men are noting without the gods Poseidon is happy and
floats Odysseus home to Ithaca. On his homeland he
kills all the suitors in his kingdom and goes up to
Penelope and they end the story with the two kissing.
These two stories show that with good and evil in the
world there is still going to be conflict, but with
valiance, and strength we can still get through it.
