WISNU IRSANDI PRATAMA: Pengaruh Metode Pembelajaran Pemecahan Masalah

Terhadap Kemampuan Pembuktian Konsep Luas Bangun Datar. Tesis. Medan: Program

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode pemecahan masalah teradap
kemampuan pembuktian konsep luas bangun datar. Tujuan khusunya adalah: 1) mengetahui
perbandingan kemampuan pembuktian konsep luas bangun datar yang dibelajarkan melalui
metode pemecahan masalah dengan metode konvensional, 2) mendeskripsikan proses pembuktian
konsep luas bangun datar yang dibelajarkan melalui metode pemecahan masalah dengan metode
konvensional, dan 3) Mendeskripsikan proses pembuktian konsep luas bangun datar yang
dibelajarkan melalui metode pemecahan masalah dengan metode konvensional. Penelitian ini
adalah penelitian quasi eksperiment yang dilakukan di dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas
kontrol. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari tes dan lembar observasi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa
kelas VII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII D sebagai kelas kontrol. Data hasil penelitian
dianalisis untuk mengetahui tingkat kemampuan pembuktian konsep luas bangun datar yang
dibelajarkan dengan metode pemecahan masalah. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menghitung data
pencapaian (gain) yang diklasifikasikan menjadi 3 kriteria yaitu rendah, sedang dan tinggi. Hasil
penelitian menunjukkan nilai rata-rata pre tes kelas Eksperimen 51,77 dan nilai post tes sebesar
73,71 termasuk dalam klasifikasi sedang. Sedangkan hasil pre tes kelas kontol sebesar 48,8 dan
nilai post tes sebesar 50,51 dengan kategori rendah. Pembahasan penelitian ini menunjukkan
bahwa hipotesis penelitian ini dapat dijawab yaitu ada pengaruh metode pembelajaran pemecahan
masalah terhadap kemampuan pembuktian konsep luas bangun datar. Kesimpulan terdapat
pengaruh metode pembelajaran pemecahan masalah terhadap kemampuan dilihat dari nilai Sig.(2-
tailed) 0,00 < a (0,05), maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Artinya pembelajaran dengan metode
pemecahan masalah pada kelas eksperimen dapat meningkatkan Kemampuan Pembuktian konsep
peserta didik SMP Negeri 5 Tanjung Morawa pada materi Luas Bangun datar.

Proof of the Concept of Flat Build Area. Thesis. Medan: Postgraduate Program, Muslin

This study aims to determine the effect of problem solving methods on the ability to prove the
broad concept of flat building. The objectives are: 1) to compare the ability to prove the concept
of a flat building area taught through problem solving methods with conventional methods, 2) to
describe the process of proving the concept of a flat building concept that is taught through
problem solving methods with conventional methods, and 3) describing the process of proof of
concept flat building area that is taught through problem solving methods with conventional
methods. This study was a quasi-experimental study conducted in two classes, namely the
experimental class and the control class. The research instrument consisted of tests and
observation sheets. The research subjects were VII A class students as the experimental class and
VII D class as the control class. Data from the research results were analyzed to determine the
level of ability to prove the broad concept of flat building which was taught by problem solving
methods. Data analysis was performed by calculating gain data which were classified into 3
criteria, namely low, medium and high. The results showed that the average value of the
Experimental pre-test class was 51.77 and the post-test score of 73.71 was included in the
moderate classification. While the results of the pre class cock test were 48.8 and the post test
score was 50.51 with a low category. The discussion of this study shows that the hypothesis of
this study can be answered, namely there is the influence of the learning method of problem
solving on the ability to prove the concept of broad flatness. The conclusion is that there is the
effect of learning methods on problem solving abilities as seen from the value of Sig. (2-tailed)
0.00 <a (0.05), then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This means that learning with problem-
solving methods in the experimental class can improve the ability to prove the concept of
students of Tanjung Morawa State Middle School 5 on Broad Build material.
