Contents Letter from the Chairman

Introduction It is my pleasure to report on another outstanding year of the Eco Valley

Foundation.1 With increasing interest in the United States as well as in Europe, in
the CIS countries and in India toward sustainable community building, it has
Letter from the Chairman been proven that the seeds of the Eco Valley Foundation’s efforts have been
falling on fertile soil.

Leadership & Sustainability has become a core part of building strategies in industrial, agrarian, financial,
environmental, social and in corporate sector and in business in general. Furthermore, it is not only
Governance building strategies but none will be successful unless one recognizes and addresses the importance
of the three levels of sustainability - environmental, economic and social – and is embedded in
everyday decision making.
Operation review Eco Valley Foundation is committed to develop and propagate applied sustainability strategies which
make it successful. The model farm, Krishna Valley, shows a good example of a sustainable life in
practice. It has the principle embedded in its everyday life: walk the talk. Thus Eco Valley Foundation
Looking ahead has a lot to contribute to community development, education, public policy and even more to
corporations and businesses.

Contacts and The Eco Valley Foundation along with its model community - Krishna Valley - has been the driving
force for and the source of inspiration to many, both for Hare Krishna farms and for other, non-
Information religious communities.

We have expanded and strengthened our presence in many areas including education-, the
scientific-, the governmental-, the NGO and corporate sector also. We have launched effective reach
out programs in the above areas thus increasing the direct involvement of people internationally by
more than 250% from last year.

In conclusion, during the year 2009 Eco Valley Foundation has been solidifying its position on the
national and international level as being a source of knowledge and inspiration. Being reliable,
accessible and having integrity embedded in our dealings have invited our partners to work with us
in order to build a more sustainable future.

Leadership & The direct evidence for this is our Foundation’s model area of research and
