TiE Detroit Appoints New Chapter President; Rupesh Srivastava, CEO of Youngsoft

Inc.
Rupesh Srivastava has been elected as the new president of TiE Detroit effective
Jan. 1, 2011.
Farmington Hills, MI, December 21, 2010 -- Rupesh Srivastava has been elected as
the new president of TiE Detroit effective Jan. 1, 2011. The announcement was m
ade on behalf of the Board of Directors of Detroit chapter of TiE (Talent, Ideas
, Enterprise) by Tel K. Ganesan, TiE Detroit president (www.detroit.tie.org)
Rupesh Srivastava is President and CEO of Youngsoft Inc., an information technol
ogy product and services company. In 2001, Srivastava co-founded H2H Solutions,
Inc., a health care technology products and services company and later took a ca
lculated risk by founding Youngtronics Inc., an electronics manufacturing and as
sembling enterprise, all based in Wixom, Mich. Srivastava was recognized in the
Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce Salute to Excellence in 2007 and has
been recognized by Corp!, Crain's Detroit Business, diversitybusiness.com and wa
s most recently named by CNN Money as one of the seven innovators with potential
to revitalize Detroit’s economy.
“I am proud to take over this growing chapter of TiE which has progressed well und
er Tel Ganesan’s tenure and the previous executive team. I hope to build on this f
oundation to grow the TiE’s influence and effectiveness expanding entrepreneurship
and mentorship in Michigan,” remarked Rupesh Srivastava. “One of my goals will be t
o foster the growth of a new class of entrepreneurs in Michigan that is independ
ent of the old established systems like automotive and utilizing new innovative
industries like energy, health care, and technology. I believe my own journey as
a Michigan entrepreneur of 16 years will bring a rich mixture of wisdom, profes
sional networks, and entrepreneurial spirit to TiE Detroit and its members.”
After making the announcement Ganesan said, “Mr. Srivasata is a champion for the n
ext generation of entrepreneurs. He is an astute leader who brings with him a hi
gh level of expertise, valuable insights and business connections. He has wholeh
eartedly served the Detroit Chapter in the past and will continue his good work
by expanding the chapter’s program offerings and strengthening partnerships.”
