4. PIR MOTION DETECTOR INSTALLATION AND USE

To power up, turn on the power switch on the side of the detector. Mounting height should adjust to about 2.2m. Mounting the detector at the corner of
the room is preferable and setting its detecting direction perpendicular to the people walking direction will give the best effect.

Mounting method: take out the bracket in the accessories pack and fix it on your wall. Fix the detector to the bracket and adjust its detection angle to
the best position.

The following aspects should be noted:

1. The infrared detector should not face the outward window.
2. Obstacles on its front have negative effect.
3. More than two infrared detectors should not be installed in the same area.
4. Strong wind flow, fire, radiator should be avoided, for it may make the detector give false alarm.
5. When the infrared detector powered up, it will take five minutes to adapt itself to normal working mode.
6. The infrared detector can only be used in closed room, not be used in open ground.

6
5. DOOR/WINDOW DETECTOR INSTALLATION AND USE

1. The emitter of door entry detector is mounted on the edge of movable door, and the magnetic bar is
mounted on the fixed doorframe. The two pieces of devices must be no more than lcm distance when the
door is closed.
2. The magnetic bar must be installed near to the emitter side of LED indicator.
3. When the door is opened from the closed position, the emitter's upper LED indicator will light up for one
second. This means the door entry detector works well .
4. The upper LED indicates that it is sending alarm message to the main alarm unit, and the lower LED
indicates that the power supply has low battery.

6. SYSTEM MAINTENANCE AND PROTECTION

1. Avoid direct sunlight, excessive high or low temperature, and moist environment.
2. Avoid placing on unstable location.
3. Avoid liquid flowing into the device.
4. Do not use other power supply for substitution.
5. The battery of remote controller, PIR infrared detector, and door detector need to be replaced while they have low battery (the battery usually has
several month life time).

7
7. ENCODING AND DECODING METHOD OF WIRELESS DETECTORS

Encoding and decoding method of the wireless alarm system

This alarm system uses wireless transmission style to communicate with its
wireless detectors. To protect alarm systems from interfering each other, the
wireless signal can use different encoding style for different alarm systems. you
can add detectors to an alarm system by encoding the detectors.
Each alarm system has its unique wireless communication code. This includes
8-bit address code A0, A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, and 4-bit zone code (or data
code) D0, D1, D2, D3. Each set of alarm system has only one address code, but
can have several zone code. The address code is used for communications
between main unit and detectors only. We printed it out at the back side of the
alarm set and marked as "Serial No". The zone code is used to group different
detectors into different wireless alarm zones (SC model has 14 wireless zones
and 2 wired zones). For example, we have 16 LED indicators on the alarm main
unit. The “alarm 1” LED is corresponding to zone 1, the “alarm 2” LED is
corresponding to zone 2, the “alarm 3” LED is corresponding to zone 3, the
"alarm 4" LED is corresponding to zone 4, and so on.
We use the "short jumper slip" option to realize the encoding, you can use a
screw driver to take off the screw of the PIR motion sensor and open the cover.
On the power switch side of the electronic circuit board, you can see 36 metal
pins (12 rows with 3 pins on each row). This 36 metal pins are used to encode
the 8-bit address code and 4 bit zone code.

8
You can also open the emitter part of the door detector. There are If a pin in the middle row is not connected by a short jumper slip (or in
also 36 metal pins on the side of the electronic circuit board. This float state), we called the pin encoded as “0”. The 8 pins for address code
36 metal pin are also used to encode the 8-bit address code and 4-bit has three encoding state, “1”, “0”, and “2”. The 4 pins for zone code has
zone code. only two encoding state, “1”, “2”. Which means the 4-bit zone code must
have jumper slips connecting from middle row pins to either H or L row
pins, and cannot has float state “0”.

There are total 3 rows of pins. Each row has 13 pins. The 13 pins in
the top row near the IC SC2262 (or HS 2262, or PT2262) is high
electric level, marked by H. The 12 pins in the bottom row near the
side of the electric circuit board is low electric level, marked by L.
The 13 pins in the middle row is to be set by short jumper slip. If a pin
in the middle row is connected by a short jumper slip to the H row pin,
we called the pin encoded as “1”. If a pin in the middle row is connected
by a short jumper slip to the L row pin, we called the pin encoded as “2”.
9
Figure below shows the 8-bit address code in the middle row is Figure below shows the 8-bit address code in the middle row is
“21120102”, the 4-bit zone code is “2211” (zone2). “22212011”, the 4-bit zone code is “2112” (zone4).

Figure below shows the 8-bit address code in the middle row is Figure below shows the 8-bit address code in the middle row is
“11100222”, the 4-bit zone code is “2121” (zone3). “11011220”, the 4-bit zone code is “2111” (zone5).

Figure below shows the 8-bit address code in the middle row is If you want to add detector to your alarm set, there will be two method,
“12202011”, the 4-bit zone code is “2112” (zone4). the first method is to configure the detectors according to the short jumper
slip setting exactly the same as the detectors programmed in your
standard kit. The second method is you set the 8-bit address for the
detector accordingly to the “Serial No.” at the back of your alarm main
unit, and encode the 4-bit zone code following the encoding list on P.4.

10
The wireless smoke detector and gas leakage detectors each has
a wireless emitting module inside the plastic cover. There are also 36
pins to set the 8-bit address code and 4-bit zone code on the
emitting module.
The 8-bit address code is at the bottom side, and the 4-bit zone
code is on the right side. The 8-bit address code is also the same as
infrared motion detectors for the same alarm set. But we can set the
4-bit zone code as 24 hours guard zone. Of course your can also set the
zone code as zone 1, 2, 3, 4, or other zones as you like. The 24 hours
guard zone will report alarm messages even if your alarm unit is in
disarm state.
A wireless emergency button is generally configured as 24 hours
guard zone in the same method.
