RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE COMMITTEE FOR CBCS

The skill-based subjects are to be decided by the respective Board of studies.

Non-major elective course should cover basic of fundamental areas of relevant core subjects.

Grade, Mark and Credit may be printed in the Mark Statement.

The Committee authorize the Controller of Examinations to finalise the mode of calculating grade.

The existing system of valuation for Projects/dissertation may be continued.

The Internal and External marks may be 25:75.

The existing pattern of Question Paper will be as follows:

Time : 3 Hours Max. Marks: 75

Section A: (10 x 1 = 10 marks)


Question No.1 to 10 (Multiple choice)
1. Two questions from each unit.
2. Four Choices in each questions.
3. No ‘none of these’ choice

Section B: (5 x 7 = 35 marks)
Answer all questions choosing either (a) or (b)
Answer not exceeding two pages.
(One question from each uni)

13(a) or 13(b)
14(a) or 14(b)
15(a) or 15(b)

Section C: (3 x 10 = 30 marks)

Answers not exceeding for pages


Answers any three out of five (one question from each Unit)

1. The pattern for internal valuation may be: two test – 15 marks each: average 15 Marks
2. Group Discussion / Seminar/Quiz – 5 marks
3. 2 assignments: 5 mark each: average 5 marks
4. 3rd test may be allowed for absentees of any one of the two tests.
5. If the college opts quiz, 2 Quiz should be conducted.
