1. Remove the factory push fasteners retaining the radiator sup-
port panel cover and weatherstripping by lifting up on the
center of the pins and removing them from the mounting
holes. Lift the panel out of the way or remove it entirely for
reinstallation once the E&G grille is installed.
4. Use a 1/4” drill bit to drill through the upper rivets (one
each side) and remove them.
5. Apply several layers of masking tape to the painted
bumper cover around the factory upper and lower grilles
to protect the paint (not shown).

2. Remove the factory 10mm bolts across the top of the grille and
bumper cover.

6. To release the grille mounting tabs located on the sides of
the grille, you must push in on the center of the tabs
while pushing in on the grille or pulling out on the
bumper cover to pass the mounting tabs located on the
bumper cover through the mounting slots on the factory
grille.

3. Pull forward on the ends of the bumper cover at the sides
of the grille and reach behind the grille and remove the
factory push pins (one each side, where shown).

7. To release the grille mounting tabs located across the bot-
tom of the grille, you must carefully insert a small flat
blade screw driver at an angle and push down on the
center of the bumper cover mounted mounting tabs and
push in on the grille to release the grille from the bumper
cover. DO NOT DAMAGE THE PAINTED SURFACE OF THE
BUMPER COVER !

8. Once the factory upper grille has been removed from the
bumper cover, use a squeegee or other plastic tool to cut
through the double faced tape retaining the factory
wreath and crest emblems onto the factory grille and
remove them for installation onto the E&G supplied
emblem mounting plate.

12. Use a block of bood and gently pry the lower fluid
cooler back for access to the lower grille mounting
studs.

9. NOTE: if the emblem plate does not have holes in it for
the emblem alignment tabs, grind the tabs off before
you install the tape. Once the factory double faced tape
has been removed from the wreath and crest, install the
supplied double faced tape to the backs of the emblems
and install them onto the emblem backing plate (not
shown).
10. Install the emblem assembly into the recess in the mesh
grille using the large black plastic washers, #10 lock
washers and #8-32 S.S. hex nuts. Center the emblem
and tighten until the emblem is secure.

13. Be sure to gently pry back both ends of the cooler for
adequate hand clearnace. Use masking tape to tape
over the coolin fins to prevent cutting your hands dur-
ing the lower grille installation.

11. Raise the SRX on a lift or use a jack and jack stands.
Remove the 7mm hex screws across the front of the
lower aero pan (A), the phillips screws in the wheel
wells (B) and the 10mm hex bolts across the back edge
(C), then remove the pan for lower grille mounting
access.
14. Trim the ends off the preinstalled black cap plugs and
push them down over the mounting studs (not shown).
Align the E&G assembled lower grille into the lower
bumper cover opening.

15. Install a large black plastic washer and a #8-32 ESNA
half nut onto the center upper and lower mounting
studs and begin to tighten but leave the nuts slightly
loose at this time.
18. Remove the E&G installed black cable tie once the mask-
ing tape has been removed. After the cable ties are
removed, finish tightening the lower hardware (not
shown).

16. Install the universal three hole mounting brackets over
the upper outer studs (one each side) and a large black
plastic washer over the lower outer studs (one each
side) and begin tightening but leave the nuts slightly
loose at this time.

19. E&G recommends painting everything inside the grille
opening that would be visible through the mesh grille
flat or semi-gloss black, including the factory grille
mounting tabs on the bumper cover.

17. Once the mounting hardware is installed, remove the
protective tape around the grille by pulling back over
itself to reduce the chance of tape breakage.

20. Align the E&G upper grille assembly into place, making
sure the lower mounting brackets pass through the tabs
in the factory bumper cover.

21. Make sure the lower outer mounting studs pass
through the tabs in the factory bumper cover (as
shown).
22. Reach up from the bottom and install a small black plas-
tic washer and a #10-24 ESNA lock nut to each stud
and, once the grille is perfectly centered, completely
tighten (not shown).

26. To help lock the corners of the bumper cover in place,
use a 1/8” drill bit to drill through the upper inner cor-
ners of the bumper cover and through the metal sup-
port panel.

23. Reinstall the factory 10mm hex bolts across the top of
the grille only at this time. Leave the bolts loose for
proper grille depth adjustment.
24. Carefully close the hood and check for proper alignment
with the hood cap. Once the grille is flush with the cap
(or no more than 1/16” back), then open the hood and
tighten the 10mm hex bolts.

27. Blow out any metal shavings and apply a high quality
sealer to prevent future rust problems and install the
supplied #8-5/8” black truss head screws (one each side
where shown).

25. Align the bumper cover to the grille sides and the hood.
It may be necessary to elongate the factory holes for
proper alignment prior to reinstalling the factory plastic
push pins. Once the bumper cover lines up with the
edge of the grille and hood, install the factory push
pins.

28. When the lower grille is installed, you will need to trim
the front license plate bracket to clear. Use masking tape
as a guide (as shown) and use a grease pencil to mark
the edge of the tape. Remove the tape and use a disc
grinder to reshape the bottom portion of the front
license plate bracket.

E&G Classics, Inc. warrants its chrome parts and products to be free from defects
in material, workmanship or finish for Forty-Eight (48) months from the date of ship-
ment by E&G. This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement, at E&G Classics
option, of the defective part or product.
To obtain performance under this warranty you must:
1.) Present your E&G unit to an authorized distributor in your area with proof
of purchase.
2.) If no distributor is available, contact E&G Classics (address below) for author-
ization to return unit.
3.) Returns - All unauthorized returns will be refused. Merchandise approved
by E&G for return must have been purchased within the Forty-Eight (48)
months. All returns require an authorization number obtained from E&G and
the actual return must be accompanied by the written authorization form
filled out completely. All merchandise must be inspected upon receipt and
shortages reported within 48 hours. All merchandise must be in a resalable
condition. Merchandise must be packed carefully in the original packing. If
original packing is no longer usable, repack item(s) comparable to original
manner. All returns are subject to a 25% handling charge. Special order items
are not returnable. Defective merchandise must have an explanation of the
problem. No credit will be issued unless invoice number and date of pur
chase has been supplied. Manufacturer shall be sole judge of defects in a

4.) UPS accounts - All returns must be prepaid. Do not send return shipments
freight collect. Once E&G has made its decision and it is a claim against our
warranty policy, E&G will credit incoming freight on damaged parts.
5.) No discontinued part or parts changed due to body style are returnable.

You are responsible for inspecting all packages containing E&G Classics' parts and
product immediately upon their receipt and must file a claim with the carrier for any
damage disclosure by such inspection and notify E&G classics in writing at the above
address of any such damage. This warranty does not extend to any of our products
which have been subject to misuse, neglect, accident or have been altered or repaired
in any way. This warranty does not cover any accidental or consequential damages for
any breach of this warranty agreement. E&G Classics shall have no responsibility for any
loss of time, inconvenience, commercial loss or consequential damage, nor shall E&G be
liable for any injury or damage to persons or property by reason of any defect in mate-
rial, workmanship or finish of its parts or products. This warranty gives you specific legal
