Parent-Teacher Conference
15 and 22 January

The annual Parent-Teacher Conference (PTC) was

held for the Secondary One, Four and Five students in
Term 1. This event was held to foster stronger links
between parents and teachers, thus enabling all parties
to better enable our students to develop holistically.
Secondary One parents and students attended an
enriching Communications Talk to gain a deeper
understanding of one another. Parents then gathered in
the canteen for a quick bite and a catch-up session with
their children's Home Teachers before proceeding to
the Hall for the Principal's Talk. Some parents stayed
longer to meet up with their children's respective
Home Teachers. All in all, the PTCs proved to be a
fruitful time of gathering for all.

Learning Journey to Marina Barrage

18 January

Learning Journeys to different unique Singapore landmarks

were organized as part of the school’s National Education
program. Together with their Home Teachers, our graduating
classes embarked on a learning journey to the Marina
Barrage Visitor Center to extend and enrich their educational
experiences. Through these learning journeys, Pasirians will
develop an awareness of challenges that Singapore faces as a
developing young nation.

Secondary One Dragon Boating Experience

20 January

This year, Secondary One students took on the

challenge of coming together in their respective classes
to pick up Dragonboating. For many, it was their first
time and hence, a truly memorable experience. Our
Secondary Ones learnt many valuable lessons on
teamwork as their instructors motivated them in a
friendly race against each other. Everyone had great
fun splashing in the sun and getting drenched! Nothing
- not even a slight afternoon drizzle at the end - could
dampen their spirits!

Listening attentively to all instructions.

Secondary Three Camp

3 to 5 February

As part of the school’s Pupil Holistic Development

program, our Secondary Three students embarked on a 5-
kilometer walk to the Ministry of Education Adventure
Camp at Changi for their stay-in adventure camp. During
the three days of camping, our Secondary Threes braved
the sun, the sea and the sand, and attempted many
challenging tasks and participated in many team-building
activities. The respective Home Teachers were also there
to cheer them on and some even took up the challenge
and put their physique to the test! It was indeed a fun-
filled way to build class cohesion and the class spirit sure
stayed high during and after the camp!

Chinese New Year Celebration

17 February

All the graduating classes came together to put up a fun-

filled carnival for the whole school as we celebrated the
Lunar New Year. The classes were required to organize
their games or food booth according to each of the twelve
different zodiac animals in the Chinese calendar and
students from the other levels took turns to patronize the
stores. Simultaneously, Home teachers and students from
the other levels were kept busy putting their handicraft
skill to the test during the class-based lantern-making
competition. After the hands-on activity, the whole
school proceeded to the school hall for the concert. The
concert put up by our Chinese Orchestra, Malay Dance
and Lion Dance which was totally spectacular and well-received by everyone.

Fun-filled carnival organized based on the theme of the 12 zodiac animals of the Chinese calendar

2T8 made more than 160 lanterns in 45 minutes!
