FROM FATHER RICH
Thank You Thank You Thank You

I would like to thank you for celebrating Christmas and New Year’s Day with us and for
your outstanding generosity to Saint Albert the Great Parish. Our Christmas Collection this
year was over $50,000.00. Our Christmas decorations and beautiful flowers, especially the
poinsettias trees were also your gift, because of your generosity to the “Flower Collection”
which brought $4,714.00. Thank you for your kindness, so many Christmas cards and gifts.
I hope that you had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed our celebrations. I enjoyed it very
much and the only thing that went wrong for me was a Christmas letter, which you re-
ceived either after Christmas or in the wrong language. I was surprised to hear that, be-
cause we have sent letters about two weeks before Christmas, actually on the same day
that I have sent Christmas card to my mom in Poland. Guess what happened; my mom re-
ceived the card before Christmas, and some of you didn't. I promise, I will learn from this
experience and I will send you the Easter letter next week.
In one of the Advent bulletins, I mentioned that our parish is waiting for important deci-
sions, but we were focused at that time on waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Now with Jesus in our hearts, we have to go back to our daily lives and we know that with
Him it will be easier to make and accept any decisions that affect our lives. I want to thank
you again for your participation in the consultation meeting, which was held by the Arch-

diocese back in October. I heard that some parishioners asked and were concerned when
the new pastor will be appointed. Many parishioners were happy with the present tempo-
rary leadership in the parish. After considering these things it was decided that, our parish

will go through the process established by the Archdiocese together with other parishes
that also are in need of a new pastor. The decision about the new pastor for Saint Albert the
Great Parish will be made and announced at the end of February or at the beginning of
March. The new pastor will take over the responsibility for the parish on July 1, 2011. I
want you to know that the Archdiocese is in touch with me and they will take under consid-
eration my judgment and advice regarding the parish situation and its needs. I cannot ar-
gue with those who think that the parish needs a fresh start because maybe that would be
the best solution for everyone. I have to admit that when I came to Saint Albert over two
years ago, I was aware that the parish needs healing and special care and I worked harder
than ever before. I think I succeeded thanks to support from many of you. I hope and pray
that you will understand and accept any decision that will be made. As a former member
of the Priests Placement Board for four years, I believe in the process and I trust the coun-
sel of the Holy Spirit.
I want to thank the organizers of Our Lady of Guadalupe Celebration for the beautiful
statue and a monetary donation to our parish in the amount of $833.00. We also are thank-
ful to the Filipino Community for choosing our church again for the closing night of Sim-
bang Gabi Celebration and for their donation of $1,379.00 to the parish and $ 751.00 to the
Saint Vincent De Paul.
Due to a conflicting schedule Cardinal Francis George will not be able to celebrate with
us the Pro Life Mass on January 15th, at 5:00 p.m. Nevertheless, I hope that many of you
will come to this special Mass to celebrate life, to pray for respect and protection of all hu-
man life in all its stages.
God Bless, Fr. Rich

Trinity: the presider does not say “in the names,” but “in the Come, join us for a hearty bowl

OD KS. RYSZARDA

Dziękujemy Bóg Zapłać Thank You

Świąteczne i upominki. Mam nadzieję, że tegoroczne Święta przyniosły Wam dużo radości i
pokoju. Dzięki Wam ja przeżyłem te Święta radośnie i z wielką satysfakcją, że znaleźliście w
naszym Kościele w czasie Świąt atmosferę modlitwy, jedności i miłości.
Thank You Dziękujemy

Jezusa Chrystusa. Teraz, z Jezusem w sercach, musimy powrócic do codziennego życia

Wtedy nowy proboszcz zostanie ogłoszony a
przejmie swoje obowiązki w parafii od 1-go lipca bierzącego roku.
moje uwagi dotyczące sytuacji naszej parafii i jej potrzeb.

Zawierzam tę decyzję i
przyszłość parafii Świętego Alberta Duchowi Świętemu, który nieustannie działa w Kościele i
ostatecznie decyduje o jego losach.
Pragnę podziękować organizatorom „Our Lady of Guadalupe” za piękną statuę Matki Bożej
