• At present more than 85% of Gas service system is done manually.

• The Manual system for Gas service system is time consuming & tedious .

• work have to maintain by manual paper work

• Delay to call whose 1/2/3 hr is completed .

• Updation of all records & transections is written in register.

• When customer is book the cylinder manager have to calculate total amount
from his register.

• System ends with his payments.

[2] Drawbacks of Existing System

• Paper/register maintenance is necessary for particular period which may be


complicated some times.

• It is an tedious job and lack of concentration at any part of time can affect an
accuracy of the register maintenance .

• Monthly reports generation is very difficult or very critical job .

• More time consumption for primary works.

• Cost Consuming manual system .

• Searching an particular information from register is very tedious job .

• Maintain an membership records is very difficult work .

[ 3 ] Proposed System

• The proposed system user-friendly & takes less memory.

• Proposed system will provide membership facility to user for its frequent
customers . Members are provided with fixed amount recharge vouchers.

• Quick Data entry & data access is possible through controls


hence user friendly system.

• Rate calculator will calculate the payment to be paid according to the


Time uses.

• Due to high validations accuracy of data is maintain. (normalized database)

Data is stored in Organized manner so rare chances to loss.

• Prevent Data accessing from unknown person as security will be


provided to database.

• System will allow cash payment

• It can work on both platforms Windows xp, NT, 2000. also The processing
time is less.

• To provide such a easy handling of Gas service system

• To provide User friendly environment for user.

• Having various in-build facilities like calculations , proper timings, report


Generation & etc….

• Time maintenance and member records are available.

• At present there is no such computerized system available to the user.


Proposed system will overcomes the drawbacks of existing system.

• It prevents the data from accessing by anyone, In short more security is


provided it helps to avoid data

dundancy and concurrency control.

• System Rollback is not provided in case of Power Failure.

• Processor: Pentium IV - 1.8 GHz & above.

• RAM: 128 MB.

• Memory Space: 5 MB.

• COMS Battery in working Condition.

• Printer: Dot-matrix, Inject.

• Secondary Storage (Backup) : 1.44 MB FDD

Software Requirement’s …

• Front End: Visual Basic 6.0.

• Back End: Ms-access.

• Windows 2000 & higher Version.

[6]Drawbacks & Limitations of Present System

Though we do lot of efforts for project , later something is remained to do in project ,


These are the weakness of project. Thtat remains unhandled until now.
Drawbacks can be improved But limitation can’t.

In present Project some negative aspects are as following ………

• It is not provide much effective in networking environment .

• The system is not providing security which is required in organization .

• This Software always required 128mb ram & 5mb Space on HDD .

• Minimum P-III is required .

These are drawbacks in present system which is occurred due to limit of time.
It can be removed by giving time & concentration .
