Oracle Content Management is a portfolio of industry-leading solutions
that delivers a new level of integration and productivity across the entire
spectrum of unstructured content. Building a strategic enterprise
content management infrastructure for content and applications helps
you to reduce costs, easily share content across your enterprise,
automate expensive, time-intensive and manual processes, and
consolidate multiple Web sites onto a single platform for centralized
management. The Oracle Universal Content Management (UCM)
Standard Edition (SE) Quick Start Service provides an easy way to fast
track your Oracle Content Management implementation projects by
leveraging Oracle UCM Experts. Our Oracle experts will work with you
to deliver an out-of-the-box production-level pilot implementation of
Oracle UCM SE tailored to your business needs, and provide a complete
knowledge transfer to your employees thereby enabling you to progress
to the next steps in your implementation with confidence.
Overview
The Oracle Content Management SE Quick Start Service, a member of our Oracle
Consulting SMART Services family, exists to help ensure that you have a successful
application of Oracle Content Management SE technology, “out of the gate.” The
service covers initial discovery, an architecture activity, and a baseline single
environment installation, large enough to provide startup value and a basis for
elaboration and growth, but small enough to allow for quick completion. Oracle has the
expertise and experience to get you moving in the right direction quickly, and we’re
eager to make sure you gain the most possible benefit from your software investments.
While Oracle Content Management SE is a powerful set of tools, but it can be applied in
a number of ways and at various levels of your enterprise architecture to manage
unstructured content more effectively.
Scope of Offering
Oracle will provide services to conduct a targeted discovery session to gather and
validate requirements, install and configure Oracle Content Management SE on one
machine, and select an appropriate subset of requirements to configure Oracle Content
Management SE. The project scope includes the following tasks and associated
descriptions:

Configurations are limited to:

• Metadata (configuration of up to 20 fields)

• Profiles (configuration of 1 search form and 1 contribution form)

• Security (configuration of up to 5 security groups)

• Workflow (1 workflow no more than 3 steps, requiring no custom coding)
