Therapy” at Maryhill

January 29-30 from
9:00 am to 5:30 pm.
This is an opportunity to
grow spiritually by finding out how to pay attention to God’s
symbolic language communicated in our dreams.
The retreat will look at the importance of dreams in both the
Old and New Testaments as well as in the lives of some of the
early saints. We will examine guidelines to identify which of
our dreams are significant, and caution against misuse of
dreams. The retreat will combine teaching and workshop, al-
lowing participants time to work on and share their own
dreams. Bring a Bible and a dream notebook in which you have
written one or two of your dreams. We will provide you with a
variety of tools and approaches to help you analyze your
dreams.
The $115 retreat cost includes a reference book and retreat
manual. No meals are provided but many restaurants are
nearby. $35 additional cost per night for a room at Mary-

SPECIAL COLLECTION NEXT WEEKEND
For nearly 50 years, the faithful of the United States have sup-
ported the national collection for the Church in Latin Amer-
ica as a visible sign of their solidarity with the faithful of Latin
America and the Caribbean. Through this generosity, tens of
thousands of Catholics in 23 countries across the region have
been enabled not only to live more fully as disciples, but to
share their faith as missionaries and leaders in their communi-
ties and beyond. This year, the collection will be taken next
weekend, January 23-24, and you are asked to again be gener-
ous in response.

LOUISIANA’S FIRST MARCH FOR LIFE
The Louisiana Right to Life organization
will host the first Louisiana Life March
on Saturday, January 22 in Baton
Rouge to commemorate the 38th anniver-
sary of Roe v. Wade. The 0.8-mile march
will begin at 10:00 am behind the Old State Capitol
and will end at the State Capitol. Call 445-6888.

The St. Francis Xavier Cathe-
dral Music Concert Series will
present “Amahl and the Night
Visitors” on Sunday, January

DAY OF PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY
The Diocese of Alexandria and the Epis-
copal Diocese of western Louisiana will
host a major ecumenical service in rec-
ognition of the nationwide Week of
Prayer for Christian Unity. The
2011 prayer event will be hosted at St.
James Episcopal Church in Alexan-
dria on Thursday, January 20 at 7:00 pm. Catho-
