Swarovski has always stood for the beauty of cut crystal. Our
customers appreciate the quality of our products, the good advice
we provide and our comprehensive service. They love the sparkle
of crystal, its variety and the numerous new products. But above
all they love the magic that Swarovski crystal radiates and which
is characteristic of the atmosphere in a Swarovski Partner
Boutique.
The first Swarovski Partner Boutique opened at the end of 2001 in Aachen,
Germany. Today there are more than 500 such boutiques in Europe selling
exclusively Swarovski products.
The brand awareness could be used from us to start this very successful business. But beside
this fact there is this very good support from your side, offering trainings, visual merchandising
and a lot of other issues. We learnt to follow the mind of your company, which is a result of
our good collaboration.

Established brand
The Swarovski brand is a key factor for your success and ours. We reinforce our successful
brand status with targeted and coordinated marketing, public relations and communication
activities at international, national and regional levels.
Initial investment
You will make the initial investment in fitting out the shop at a cost of 2,000 – 2,500 euros per
Sq Mt, plus freight costs, customs, taxes as well as local refurbishment costs. Also you will have
to invest circa 1,000 – 1,500 euros per Sq Mt for your opening stock order. Sound financing and
sufficient equity capital are therefore a basic requirement.
You have a business mind, you like to take responsibility for your boutique and your staff, and
you already have experience in retailing. The Swarovski Partner Boutique concept appeals to you
with its excellent combination of security and independence. And, naturally, you are enthusiastic
about crystal, jewellery and objects – as well as the Swarovski brand – and want to convey this to
your customers.
Building on a sound financial basis, you aim to lay a solid foundation for success as a partner of
Swarovski.
The location
- Highly frequented location in shopping streets and centres
- In the vicinity of brands positioned in the medium to upper segment
We have already compiled a list of locations that we would like for new Swarovski Partner
Boutiques, but we are always interested to receive new suggestions, which we will examine in
detail.
The building
- Attractive building, structure and style matching the Swarovski brand
- Buildings with large shop-window fronts measuring at least 5 metres, or corner buildings
The size
- 45 – 80 m2 sales area
- In addition, suitable office and storage space (appr. 10 m2)
The share of investment costs depend on various factors so that we cannot quote any figures
here but an individual and detailed calculation needs to be done for every project. However,
based on size of location and the overall required investments we will provide an estimate.
To be able to plan your Swarovski architecture, we need you to send us complete planning
information, such as the floor plan, drawings of the shop front and elevation details in CAD
format. It will then be up to you to implement the plan that is developed and to create the
conditions for this in your Swarovski Partner Boutique according to the Store Design Manual, i.e.
the lighting, all the necessary electrical installations and the walls, ceilings, floors and the shop
window. We will compose for you the colours and stylistic features which have to be observed.
We will also actively support and advise you on all other matters of financial planning, even
though we cannot, of course, give you any guarantees.
Your investment
As a business owner you will also be faced with a number of investments and, therefore a certain
amount of risk with the opening of your Partner Boutique:
The exact amount of investment required for fitting out your shop will depend on the size and
fitting-out standard of the shop.
Further funds will be required to acquire the initial stock of products and to ensure that you have
adequate operating capital. This investment will depend on the sales potential of your Swarovski
Partner Boutique.
It is only possible to estimate the amount of investment necessary after a specific project has
been outlined. Nevertheless, experience shows that your investment will be between 2,000 and
2,500 euros per Sq Mt plus freight costs, customs, taxes as well as local refurbishment costs.
Your profit
As a business owner you will also benefit from the Swarovski Partner Boutique Concept in terms
of profit. We share the same business objectives which include a mutually beneficial business
and a long term positive net present value for both you as our partner and Swarovski.
The benchmarks for gross profit vary from country to country. We will discuss profit margin
scenarios individually with you.

Crystal Objects & Home Decor:
The Jewellery & Fashion Accessories range includes distinctive items of jewellery, watches and
various accessories – from belts and evening bags to key fobs – all embellished with Swarovski
crystal.
The Crystal Objects & Home Decor range includes a broad selection of crystal items and gifts for
special occasions, along with luxury accessories for the home.
It can be difficult to select which products you should include in your assortment. We will assist
you in the selection of products and jointly put together an ideal initial product range to ensure
that the opening of your Swarovski Partner Boutique will be a success and that you can exploit
your sales potential to the full. We will also discuss with you which product groups will be
particularly suitable for your Swarovski Partner Boutique.

Your marketing
Local marketing activities are possible, but must be authorised in advance by Swarovski.
After the opening it will be your responsibility to ensure that the appearance of your Swarovski
Partner Boutique is in keeping with the Swarovski standards. Where necessary, our visual
merchandising trainers will support you as far as possible during the implementation phases
of the various campaigns so you can meet this challenge. We will also supply you at all times
with up-to-date communication and POP materials geared to the various Swarovski marketing
campaigns.
Individual support
As a partner you will be advised and supported by competent Swarovski staff.
Your software
We will recommend a suitable standard software system to you, which will ensure optimal
cooperation. The software will facilitate the smooth running of your business and the
uncomplicated analysis of your key data, while simplifying data processing and transfer, e.g.
for reporting purposes. It will also enable us to easily provide you with data on new collections –
such as article numbers, pictures and prices.
