rencana manajerial melibatkan proses berikut: (1) pemindaian
lingkungan/ environmental scanning (baik internal dan eksternal);
(2) formulasi strategi/strategy formulation (strategik atau
rencana jangka panjang/long range planning); (3) implementasi
strategi/strategy implementation); dan (4) evaluasi dan kontrol.
Tujuan perusahaan menerapkan manajemen strategik
diantaranya: (1) meningkatkan nilai bagi pemangku kepentingan
(stakeholders value)5 (2) menciptakan nilai bagi pelanggan
(customer value)3 dengan cara menarik dan memuaskan

pelanggan ; (3) memiliki keunggulan kompetitif dalam rangka
berkompetisi dengan sukses2,3&5 dan (4) mencapai target kinerja
meliputi kinerja perusahaan, kinerja pasar, dan pertumbuhan
bisnis2&3. Jangka waktu tertentu yang dimaksud di sini adalah
jangka menengah dan jangka panjang5.
