Qi gong while you Sleep

SLEEPING QI GONG

The following techniques can easily be practiced by anyone regardless of physical condition. By
practicing the Sleeping Qigong, you will relieve stress, tension, fatigue and pain, and be able to rebalance
many chronic health conditions. You can practice these during a brief nap or throughout a full night’s
sleep. Since sleeping is a part of the five points to longevity, why not combine your sleep time with
these amazingly beneficial practices? There are nine different forms of the Sleeping Qi gong, each has a
different health benefit. You can practice them one at a time or in any combination. Let your intuition
guide you.

1. CALM THE M IND AND RELAX THE BODY

Lie on your back with your head on a pillow. Lay your hands along your sides, palms facing down.
Relax your legs you feet shoulder-width apart and pointing outward. Look up for a moment, then look at
the tip of your nose, and then look downward toward your lower abdomen. Close your eyes. Place your
tongue on your upper palate just behind the upper teeth while allowing the teeth to touch lightly. Allow
your belly to rise and fall with each breath. Imagine inhaling pure chi from the universe and exhaling dark
cloudy chi to the stars, push it as far away from you as your imagination will go. Do this twenty-four
times, then begin to breath naturally. You should notice and stop any thoughts concerns or imaginings.
As you continue to relax even deeper, your body may have the sensation of expanding or even
flying. This technique is very effective at getting your mind to stop processing stuff and relieves tension
and mental stress.

2. RELIEVE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE (wood, water, and earth sounds)

Relax your legs you feet shoulder-width apart and pointing outward at a 45 degree angle. M ove your
