Speaker Biodata

Darren Degraaf CFA, CPA (US), CMA, PRM

Director of International Business Operations & Instructional Management

Darren is currently the Director of Instructional Management for the Stalla

Review for the CFA Exams Division of DeVry University in
Chicago,vIllinois, USA. His main responsibilities includevlecturing live CFA
classes as well as hiring and training CFA instructors.

Before moving to Stalla, he was a Senior Manager at the Hong Kong

Shanghai Banking Corporation in Vancouver. In this position, he primarily
focused on reporting on the credit risk exposure of the bank’s lending
portfolio as well as performing stress testing on the same.

Prior to working in HSBC’s Risk Management department, Darren held

various analytical and accounting positions in their Finance, Asset
Management, and Insurance divisions, over his 12+ year career there.

Darren holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of

British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Darren is a Certified Management
Accountant, a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder, a U.S. Certified
Public Accountant (Delaware), and a Professional Risk Manager. In terms
of his CFA lecturing experience, he has taught in Europe, the Americas,
and throughout Asia, covering a wide range of Level 1 to 3 topics for the
past 5 years.
