Wherefrom knew

Yahushua about
the third day?
(NEW TESTAMENT bible quotes are taken from the God‘ Word Translation 1995)

(The LORD is replaced by YAHUWAH)

Mat 16:13 When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his
disciples, "Who do people say the Son of Man is?"
16:14 They answered, "Some say you are John the Baptizer, others Elijah, still
others Jeremiah or one of the prophets."
16:15 He asked them, "But who do you say I am?"
16:16 Simon Peter answered, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God!"
16:17 Jesus replied, "Simon, son of Jonah, you are blessed! No human revealed
this to you, but my Father in heaven revealed it to you.
16:18 You are Peter, and I can guarantee that on this rock I will build my
church. And the gates of hell will not overpower it.
16:19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you
imprison, God will imprison. And whatever you set free, God will set free."
16:20 Then he strictly ordered the disciples not to tell anyone that he was the
Messiah.
16:21 From that time on Jesus began to inform his disciples that he had to go
to Jerusalem. There he would have to suffer a lot because of the leaders,
chief priests, and scribes. He would be killed, but on the third day he
would be brought back to life.

Mat 17:22 While they were traveling together in Galilee, Jesus told them, "The Son
of Man will be betrayed and handed over to people.
17:23 They will kill him, but on the third day he will be brought back to life."
Then the disciples became very sad.

Mat 20:17 When Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem, he took the twelve apostles
aside and said to them privately,
20:18 "We're going to Jerusalem. There the Son of Man will be betrayed to the
chief priests and scribes. They will condemn him to death
20:19 and hand him over to foreigners. They will make fun of him, whip him,
and crucify him. But on the third day he will be brought back to life."

Mar 9:30 They left that place and were passing through Galilee. Jesus did not want
anyone to know where he was
9:31 because he was teaching his disciples. He taught them, "The Son of Man
will be betrayed and handed over to people. They will kill him, but on the
third day he will come back to life."
Luk 9:20 He asked them, "But who do you say I am?" Peter answered, "You are the
Messiah, whom God has sent."
9:21 He ordered them not to tell this to anyone.
9:22 Jesus said that the Son of Man would have to suffer a lot. He would be
rejected by the leaders, the chief priests, and the scribes. He would be
killed, but on the third day he would come back to life.

Luk 18:31 Jesus took the twelve apostles aside and said to them, "We're going to
Jerusalem. Everything that the prophets wrote about the Son of Man will
come true.
18:32 He will be handed over to foreigners. They will make fun of him, insult
him, spit on him,
18:33 whip him, and kill him. But on the third day he will come back to life."

Luk 24:2 They found that the stone had been rolled away from the tomb.
24:3 When they went in, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.
24:4 While they were puzzled about this, two men in clothes that were as
bright as lightning suddenly stood beside them.
24:5 The women were terrified and bowed to the ground. The men asked the
women, "Why are you looking among the dead for the living one?
24:6 He's not here. He has been brought back to life! Remember what he told
you while he was still in Galilee.
24:7 He said, 'The Son of Man must be handed over to sinful people, be
crucified, and come back to life on the third day.'"

AFTER THE RESURRECTION:

Luk 24:44 Then he said to them, "These are the words I spoke to you while I was
still with you. I told you that everything written about me in Moses'
Teachings, the Prophets, and the Psalms had to come true."
24:45 Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.
24:46 He said to them, "Scripture says that the Messiah would suffer and that
he would come back to life on the third day.
24:47 Scripture also says that by the authority of Jesus people would be told to
turn to God and change the way they think and act so that their sins will
be forgiven. This would be told to people from all nations, beginning in
the city of Jerusalem.

Wherefrom knew Yahushua that he will come back to life on the third day?

The biblical feasts hinted this fact!

The ‚Feast of Firstfruits‘:

Lev 23:9 And YAHUWAH spake unto Moses, saying,

23:10 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come
into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof,
then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the
priest:
23:11 And he shall wave the sheaf before YAHUWAH, to be accepted for you:
on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.
23:12 And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf an he lamb without
blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto YAHUWAH.
23:13 And the meat offering thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour
mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto YAHUWAH for a sweet
savour: and the drink offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of
an hin.
23:14 And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until
the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto your God: it shall
be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
23:15 And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the
day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall
be complete:

The fulfillment:

1Co 15:12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some
among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
15:13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:
15:14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is
also vain.
15:15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified
of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the
dead rise not.
15:16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:
15:17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
15:18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most
miserable.
15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them
that slept.
15:21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the
dead.
15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
1Co 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that
are Christ's at his coming.
1Co 15:24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to
God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all
authority and power.

DO YOU BELIEVE THAT THE FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS IS A

TYPOLOGY OF THE RESURRECTION OF THE MESSIAH?

DO YOU BELIEVE THAT THE FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS IS A

TYPOLOGY OF THE THIRD DAY RESURRECTION OF THE MESSIAH?

DO YOU BELIEVE THAT, IN THE FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS, THE

SHEAF IS TO BE WAVED ON THE MORROW AFTER THE WEEKLY
7TH DAY SABBATH?

If you answered "YES" to all three questions, then there is no way that you can count the
weekly 7th day sabbath as the 7th day on the Roman calendar. If you answered "YES" to all
three questions, then you must count the sabbath from the new moon.

You may ask, How is that? Very simple. The suffering and death of the Messiah fulfilled the
Passover, which falls on the 14th day of the first scriptural month. If you believe that the
feast of Firstfruits is a typology of the third day resurrection of the Messiah, then you agree
with us that the sheaf must be waved the third day from Passover.

Whether you believe that the Messiah rose the third day as the scriptures says, or after 72
hours is irrelevant because you still must wave the sheaf a fixed number of days from
Passover. And finally, if you believe the the sheaf is to be waved on the morrow after the
weekly 7th day sabbath, then you agree with us that the sabbath is a fixed number of days
from Passover ( whether you say it is the 15th or the 17th ).

Brothers and Sisters, the only way that the weekly 7th day sabbath can be a fixed number of
days from Passover EVERY YEAR, is to count it from the new moon. You cannot and will
not count the sabbath as the seventh day on the Roman calendar and get it to come out to be a
fixed number of days from Passover EVERY YEAR.

These types were fulfilled, not only as to the event, but as to the time.
Ellen G. White - Great Controversy – page 399

I believe that this complex issue has been simplified by these three questions…

I realize that whatever God does will last forever.

Nothing can be added to it, and nothing can be taken away from it.
God does this so that people will fear him… Ecc 3:14
