Active D-Lighting (ADL)
This realizes optimal contrast over the entire photo by localizing tone control, resulting in
images with a crisp, well-defined look and less occurrences of whiteout and blackout.
ADL settings are None, Weak, Normal, Strong, Stronger, and Auto (default).

Removing the Lens

Focus mode

AF-A (Auto-servo AF) (Default setting)


- Automatically switches between AF-S & AF-C
- AF-S is selected when subject is judged to be stationary
- AF-C is selected when subject is judged to be moving

AF-S (Single-servo AF)


- For stationary subjects
- Focus locks when shutter-release button is pressed halfway

AF-C (Continuous-servo AF)


- For moving subjects
- Focuses continuously while shutter-release button is pressed halfway
