ABSTRACT
The undercut level (2600 / L) on the Deep Mill Level Zone (DMLZ) site
uses the w-undercut design on the western area and a flat undercut on the east.
The heading development process starting with the process of demolition, so that
it takes place to distribute the material to the crusher. Therefore, on that area
needed to be built an ore pass named muck raise, which is designed as a vertical
hole with the opening hole on the undercut level and its bottom hole on the
exhaust or truck haulage level. This muck raise also intended as a place so that
materials can be distributed optimally. The use of muck rise which cuts the level
can accelerate the process of moving material from the location to the crusher at
the truck haulage level.
In the west area of the designed undercut level, there are four muck raise.
This muck raise is a muck with the single handling method that goes through into
exhaust level. The location and number of muck raise is determined based on the
location intended to build vertical opening holes. Therefore, an analysis is needed
to find out the effective distance for transporting material resulting from
demolition to muck raise as the location of material shedding. The location of the
bottom muck raise needed at the exhaust level also requires analysis to determine
the amount of transport unit needed so that the material from the bottom muck can
be transported into the crushing site, CR-503 or CR-504 in the truck haulage level
in one shift of operational hours.
Based on the results of the analysis, the effective distance between the
heading and muck raise is 683.17m. Four muck raise according to the design is
already at a distance that is less than the effective distance. And for the analysis of
the transportation unit needed on the bottom muck raise in operational time for
one shift, it takes 1 unit AD55 for the bottom muck raise DD27 SVD, DD24
NVD, and West SVD. While for the bottom muck raise West NVD requires 2
units of AD55.

Agustus 2018 dan menyelesaikan skripsi dengan judul Analisis Jarak Efektif
Muck Raise Terhadap Heading Pada W-Undercut di Tambang Bawah Tanah
Deep Mill Level Zone (DMLZ) PT. Freeport Indonesia, Papua.
