Objective: Choose multiple artworks by a single master artist and use it as a

jumping off point to expose at least one roll of film.

You will be responsible for three final 8x10 well-developed (technically and conceptually) and printed
images.

Consider the following ideas while brainstorming on how you can use the master artwork as a trigger
for your photographs.
(Remember your master cannot be a photographer!)
Consider how you can…
-borrow from the artist
-imitate aspects of the artwork.
-create substitutions for the piece
-focus on the formal aspects of the work
-focus on the meaning…how can you create images that have a similar theme or message.

Follow these wonderful steps to creating successful images…

Step One:! Select multiple artworks by a master artist that you find personally interesting.

Step Two:! Over at least 2 pages in your sketchbook…place copies of your master artists works and
write / analyze / describe / interpret / make notations on things that stand out to you.
Consider placing the artwork in context with historical times. How does what is going
on in history affect the ways artist work? TURN IN FOR CREDIT (40pts)

Step Three:! Brainstorm the many ways that you could do the following:
