LANNON SPRING ELECTION

T he names have been placed on the ballot for the April
5th Election. Initially, the 3 incumbents had only one per-
son registered as a candidate for a Trustee position; Janice
Manor-Schmidt. The field has been widened to add FOUR
WRITE-IN CANDIDATES to the race. Their names won’t ap-
pear on the ballot, and must be written on the ballot in the
blank spaces provided. Shown below are the WRITE-IN can-
didates for Village Trustee: Amy
Martin, a resident and member
of the Lannon Fire Department.
Amy was a candidate in the last
election, losing the election by
the narrowest of margins;
Jeanne Crosby, a 42-year resi-
dent of Lannon, currently a vil-
lage Poll Worker; Dave Nagler,
a resident, recently returned
from Colorado, is also running
for the Village President seat; AMY MARTIN JEANNE CROSBY
and Diane Daily, formerly a
Trustee on the Village Board.
The candidates have platforms
that include supporting more
transparency in government,
autonomy for the Fire Depart-
ment, equal enforcement of
the ordinances and positive
business and residential growth
in the village. The time for
change is now. These are our
neighbors - let’s give them our DAVE NAGLER DIANE DAILY
support!

EDITORIAL COMMENT WHERE’S THE JUSTICE?

T ake a look around Lannon. What

physically has changed in the past
year? For starters, a few miscellaneous
signs have been removed from some
buildings. A few more For Sale signs
have appeared. A new fence appeared
on one property (under threat of litiga-
tion). A new building on Good Hope
Road appeared (still empty?). Did any-
one see a Welcome to Lannon sign? No

Inexplicably, the board, prompted by
Trustee Newman, decided that there
was not enough time to coordinate
these actions and delayed this cost-
