A not so perfect bright shadow illusionist class guide..

I. Illusionist!!?

So you wanna try out cool morphs? Then illusionist is the perfect job for you
.Illusionist is a very flexible job. Illusionist can be a substitute for common needs in
party like tanker or healer but with less efficiency when it comes to performance..
cool morphs even have party buffs, aoe damager and etc. and something what I like
most being an illusionist, you can show off your cool morphs to the newbies.. (i
guess that is fun, newbs will be amazed and will praise a talking dragon XD)

Advantages:

1. illus can be a substitute to any role in a party

2. cool morphs

Disadvantages:

1. as #1 said, illus can be a substitute for a tanker or healer but not as

efficient as those jobs fitted for those roles

2. sp eater,

II. lets talk about shaman builds before illusionist

Depends on what type of illu will you make, I have here a list of types and
their builds

Int-wis-con –common illusionist build has cap int at least 25-30 con and the
rest wis, Anubis is its primary morph coz of its magic damage..

Str-agi-con – (Warning: still at my experimental stage.. try at your own risk)

now that I think that the fallen angel adds +810 phys damage compared to
Anubis that has fireball spell which has high damage. Its better off to deal
high damage without the delayof casting time and cooldown. fallen angel
damages for 1400(1 str) then add your attack speed = [win].. the
disadvantage of this is it’s hard to lvl up str shaman (unless if you have other
strong characters, leech is the solution) and has poor aoe damage.. 20 con
and cap agi & str..

Str-int– (warning[again]: I’m also still experimenting at this build) since we

debate which stat must be the primary damage of illusionist, what if we have
str and int capped together? Then we deal strong physical and magical
damage.. although im not very sure at this build.. try at your own risk
Note: updates will be given once I have finished with my research..

III. How to be an illusionist.

Well i guess it's very obvious that to be a second job, you need a 1st job
character with atleast level 40. But when it comes to illusionists, you need a lvl 40
shaman to be an illusionist.

First off, talk to gdiri(-1353,2284) in crystal altar then he will give you the
quest “calling of the wild” will ask you to find bafa(-11162, 1661) in plague dungeon
b3. Talk to bafa again, will give you the quest “spirit gathering” that will make you
hunt the quest item “tree spirit of the blackish green tree” by killing black wind
grandma(2410,3877)then report back to bafa(granny is very easy to kill since it has
low physical damage. Simply buff yourself with hp shift then spam gust blade and
heal). Bafa will give you another quest “camouflaged chameleon” which can be
accomplished by simply talking to vamo at the entrance of corpse church. Now
vamo will ask you to obtain vampire fang from vampire lord(6258,4021?) then
report back to vamo in the quest “call for help”(vampire is very hard to kill so I
suggest taking some lvl 40+ characters with you). After hearing vamo’s
explanation, proceed to bafa again and have him make “cloak to ward off evil” then
after that, go to crystal room and talk to elder of the nine allied lands for the
completion of your quest and tadaaaaaaaah! You’re now an illusionist

Morphs:

Fallen angel – morph perfect for str agi type, learned at lvl 45, this
morph adds +810 phys damage and consumes 350 sp per instance
(spi)

Armored soul – this morph is very useful especially when crawling from
inferno 1 to keep without getting killed or use this morph to be the
party tanker, learned at lvl 47, this morph adds +484 phys defense
and consumes 400spi and has the provoke skill used to make umbras
attack you

Anubis- the int type’s ace, learned at lvl 50, this morph has a powerful
skill – fire ball, which damages for 1000-1500 + int and has approx 1.2
casting time and 0.5 cooldown. This morph consumes 400psi

Yeti – the cutest morph (most people disagree this opinion), learned at
lvl 55, this morph adds +565 magic defense and consumes 400psi. A
not-very-used morph
Archangel- learned at lvl 57, this morph has angel’s prayer which heals
a single target, I do not advise this morph to heal your companions coz
archangel’s morph has a cooldown unlike the normal heal which you
can spam diff lvls.. Consumes 250psi

Tengu- now this chicken will drive you nuts using it every 30 seconds [-
_-“], learned at lvl 60, this morph has bless (paradise spell buffs) which
boost you and your party’s stats, but the buff expires in 30 second so
you will use it constantly, paradise spell gives +236 melee attack,
+221 ranged attack, +200 magic attack, +125 phys defense and +125
magic defense. Very useful in party, consumes 300 psi

Crimson dragon – learned at lvl 65, this dragon has the skill “inferno”
which is aoe skill. This morph is also good for showing off.

Skills

Boreas gust- wind magic damage, single enemy

Soulflame- wide range attack, single enemy

Stone lance – earth magic damages and causes 1 second stun, good at
interrupting skills at the ice chamber

Vayuu’s rage – wind magic damage, multiple enemies

Teleport [home] & [seal tower]- -_-“ self target

Meditation- self buffs that makes cast will not be cancelled but adds
casting time

Sunlight- anti blind

Pot prod int- will be available one empty reiki bottles are
implemented..

IV. Beastlord

I researched that beastlord’s morph only have skills like speed up, increase
hp&mp recovery(like) increase maximum weight limit, Max hp increase(like)party
heal (super like) and modified tengu buffs. Although I’m not very sure of this, I think
that beastlord’s morphs are all about character enhancements. And in my opinion
Illusionist morphs are way too cooler (in terms of appearance) than beastlords
morphs..

V. Extra notes
I finally finished my first guide this 4-22-10 at 12:28 am. Took the most out of
me.. I planned on making an illusionist guide even before they release the luciena
spring event but now that they have it, I thought that maybe send this as my entry
to contest. Many thanks to http://brsh.wikiwiki.jp for helping me with skill
effects, bright shadow producers and server provider for having such a good game,
proofreaders for proofreading this and above all, god for giving me the strength to
write this guide.. See you on my next guide. –[Illusionist] chaerelle
