Kompetensi Dasar :Merespon makna dan langkah retorika dalam esei pendek sederhana secara
akurat, lancar dan berterima yang berkaitan dengan lingkungan sekitar dalam teks berbentuk
descriptive

1. Tujuan Pembelajaran

Pada akhir pembelajaran, siswa dapat:

· Mengidentifikasi generic structure dalam teks deskriptive.

· Mengidentifikasi kalimat simple present tense dalam teks deskriptive

v Karakter siswa yang diharapkan : Dapat dipercaya ( Trustworthines)

Rasa hormat dan perhatian( respect)

Descriptive Text

A TEENAGE GENIUS

Ivan Mirsky was born in Russia but now lives in America with his father, Vadim. They live in one
room flat in Brooklyn.

Ivan doesn’t go to school and his father doesn’t have a job. They practice chess problem all day,
everyday.
Ivan was different from a very young age because he could ride a bike when he was eighteen
months old, and read before he was two. He could play cards at three and piano at four. When he was
twelve, he was the under 20 chess champion in Russia.

His father can’t speak English, and can’t play chess either. Ivan translates for him. Vadim says,” I
know that I can’t play chess, but I can still help Ivan. We don’t like playing sports or watching TV. We live
for chess.

3. Langkah-langkah Kegiatan

A. Kegiatan Pendahuluan (10 menit)

Apersepsi :

· Guru mengucapkan salam (greeting)

· Guru memeriksa kehadiran siswa/i

· Guru memberi pertanyaan stimulus berupa pertanyaan tentang teks deskriptive

Motivasi :

· Guru menjelaskan tentang pentingnya materi teks deskriptive

B. Kegiatan Inti (60 menit)

Eksplorasi

· Guru mengulas kembali terkait mengenai teks descriptive

· Menjelaskan tentang generic structure teks descriptive

Elaborasi

· Guru menuliskan contoh teks deskriptive

· Guru meminta siswa untuk menuliskan generic structure dari teks descriptive dan menuliskan
kalimat simple present tense yang ada dalam teks descriptive

Konfirmasi

· Guru meminta siswa untuk mengumpulkan hasil kerja.

C. Kegiatan Penutup (10 menit)

· Guru memeriksa hasil kerja siswa


· Merencanakan materi pembelajaran pada pertemuan berikutnya.
