Band: Mr. Mecozzi
What has been happening: 8/27 and 9/3 Parent performance nights, 9/11 Naperville
Central Marching Classic (won class AA, 4 captions in AA), 9/17 Marching band
performed at Andrew for the Stagg vs. Andrew game, 9/18 Palos Park Parade,
9/28 Army representative will be present and John Seguin chosen to their Marching Band
Assembly, What is coming up: 9/26 Jamboree at Andrew H.S. , 10/1 Homecoming
festivities, 10/6 After school rehearsals for WS and CB, 10/9 Downers Grove South
Marching Mustang Bowl, 10/13 Fall band Showcase, 10/16 Illini Marching Band
Championships @ U of I, Other News: 10/15 Stagg hosting Jr. High night/Parent
performance night- Marching Band to put on a full show in full uniform for Palos South,
Conrady; Worth, dinner will be served, 10/6 a Brass Quartet will be visiting Stagg

Per Bob Mecozzi the Winter Guard show is scheduled for 2/26/2011
Will need many student and parent volunteers

Jamboree Ad Book – reported by Jim Bradley
27 ads sold
$2,094.00 collected/ $635.00 for 500 books/ profit to be $1,459.00
Ad books will be ready on 9/24/10
Jim is creating some guidelines for next years ad book chair to utilize, suggested
to have a ad book chair at the end of this school year for next years Jamboree
Pasta Sale: Reported by Lisa Neufeld
Starting on Monday 9/27, Monica and Lisa will be talking to the band and
choir classes
Market Day: Salley McGrath not in attendance
Reported by Dan Ciametti that many of the current volunteers are parents of
seniors and new volunteers will be necessary for Market Day next year
Planning:
Marching Band: Reported by Lisa Gonzini
All went well at the Naperville Competition; volunteers for Marching Band
are going very well
Field Equipment Manager: Brian Szott- Not in attendance
Jamboree 2010: Elizabeth Norden
Event will be 9/26/2010, start time 1:00pm, at Andrew H.S. ( Stagg football
field not ready)
We will be using 2 gates for entrance; student volunteers park and enter at the
southeast gate, Mr. Betz assisting with organizing the student volunteers and
Kim Bradley assisting with the volunteer coordination
Maps of Andrew provided for volunteers
Will need cash boxes, tables and chairs will be provided by Andrew
Will have I love band t shirts on sale, and forms for latest spirit wear
Raffle for one spirit wear sweatshirt, split the pot ready to go, signs ready to
go, Trophy’s ordered, no video this year, will obtain safety vests for parking
volunteers

Call time for students to be at Stagg will be 9:30am, load buses; 10:15am
leave for Andrew
Judges agreed to a reduced fee this year
Concessions: Deanna Swicionis
We will be using the Andrew concession stand for the Jamboree
Need 8 more coolers, will be making ice and bagging it , looking for water and
pop donations
Serving hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, candy, nachos/cheese, popcorn, hot
chocolate, coffee, water, pop, (many donations are coming in)
Will need 2 cash boxes
Will bring a big white tent for the day
Fall Craft Show: Karen Lencioni/ Patty Campione-Not in attendance

Mr. Mecozzi is working out the details at this point in time
Music Awards Banquet: Margaret Kristufek
Monica Wehmeier to call Salley McGrath to see if the April Market Day pick –up
can be changed to a different day.
Margaret would like to have a greater variety of pictures for the slide show than
last year

Having difficulty getting in contact with Carla Erdey regarding the placement of
articles in the newspaper

The first “ Bulk Cleaning” with Fernwood Cleaners started, so far – so good-
many students took advantage of the program
