Hala Tuju Masa Depan

Pembelajaran atas talian ini sebenarnya mampu menghasilkan seseorang yang mempunyai
kemahiran pembelajaran sepanjang hayat. Kemahiran pembelajaran sepanjang hayat yang
berteraskan teori konstruktivisme ini adalah salah satu kemahiran utama dalam kemahiran abad
ke-21 yang perlu dikuasai oleh seseorang individu untuk berjaya dalam abad yang mencabar ini.
Apabila dilakukan pembelajaran secara atas talian, pelajar tidak lagi boleh bergantung kepada
pensyarah atau guru semata-mata sebagai sumber ilmu sebaliknya mereka perlu giat membuat
pencarian sendiri dan menentukan isi kandungan yang hendak dipelajari. Sememangnya bukan
senang untuk membina kemahiran pembelajaran sepanjang hayat ini. Justeru, pendidik perlu
bijak menangani isu tersebut secara berhemah. Setiap pendidik perlu mengambil langkah proaktif
bagi memastikan tiada sesiapa yang ketinggalan di sepanjang proses pengajaran dan
pembelajaran, serta matlamat utama pembelajaran secara holistik dan inklusif tercapai. Kita
harus sedar bahawa suatu hari nanti pelajar dan guru akan kembali ke sekolah untuk menjalani
pembelajaran seperti biasa dan pembelajaran atas talian juga akan menjadi norma baharu yang
telah diterapkan ke dalam pdp mereka. Namun, adakah pelajar sudah bersedia kembali ke
sekolah sekiranya masa itu telah pun tiba? Carmen Burbano de Lara, Pengarah School Feeding
Division, UNESCO menyatakan kerisauan beliau semasa World Food Programme, bahawa
semakin lama pelajar terhindar daripada sekolah, semakin kuranglah niat mereka untuk kembali
ke sekolah. Dengan itu, beliau berpendapat bahawa pihak sekolah berperanan besar dalam
menanamkan minda bahawa pembelajaran atas talian hanyalah langkah sementara dan
merupakan bahan bantu belajar dalam pandemik Covid-19. Para pelajar tetap perlu menjalani
hidup bersekolah selepas pasca Covid-19 nanti. Oleh yang demikian, peranan pengajar pada
abad ke-21 tidak lagi hanya menyalurkan ilmu pengetahuan tetapi ke arah mendidik dan
membimbing anak-anak menjadi seseorang yang berdaya tahan, fleksibiliti, pembelajaran
sepanjang hayat, pemikiran kritikal dan kreativiti. Untuk mencapai usaha jangka panjang ini,
kolaborasi erat di antara kerajaan, perusahaan dan sekolah tiga pihak berkenaan amatlah
diperlukan dan sebaiknya bermula dari awal persekolahan sehinggalah ke institusi pengajian
tinggi.
