The first thing you have to know is Psoriasis can be cured!

But conventional
practioners haven't got a clue of how to approach it and so all they do is give you
powerful drugs to treat (ie: suppress) the symptoms. I recommend to be very careful
about starting on any drug therapies. Instead go straight to the heart of the cause...The
liver and the gastrointestinal immune system.

I have seen many doctors and dermatoligists over the years and they just all told me
the same thing...Psoriasis can't be cured it can only be treated and that always
involves drugs. I just wasn't satisfied with that answer. After having suffered with
chronic scalp psoriasis for 4 years that spread to my ears/eyebrows/nose folds and
even small patches on lower legs and crotch, I decided enough is enough. So I read
several books on the subject and did massive research on the internet. I have put all
my findings to work and am glad to say apart from the odd infrequent scalp itch I
have got rid of all signs of my psoriasis...Yeehaa!! I am so happy and have to confess
a little proud of myself. It certainely taught me three things 1. Be very dubious about
conventional doctors advice 2. Take responsibility for your own health. 3. Believe in
the biblical quote " Seek and ye shall find" Matthew 7:7

I warn you though it is quite an undertaking, but you should be able to cure the
problem almost entirely within about two months (depending on how long you've
lived with it). The longer you have suffered with it the longer it will take to
cure...Count roughly a minimum of 4 weeks and then 1 extra week for every year you
have had it.

Ok lets get to the facts of understanding what is going on as it is vital that you
understand how the whole cyle of Psoriasis works from the inside out. First of all if
you doubt that psoriasis comes from liver/gastro disorders/imbalances. Here is the
proof normally all Psoriasis sufferers also suffer from some form of either allergies
(especially food intolerences) and/or digestive/bowel disorders. This is not a
coincidence. The organ that is directly responsible for these symptoms is the liver.
The skin is said to be a mirror of the gut. So if your gut is imbalanced so will your
skin be.

Psoriasis is an auto-immune disorder which is basically an advanced type of allergy.

Most Psoriasis sufferers will be affected by a yeast overgrowth both internally and
externaly which causes excess toxins to be released that puts further strain on the
liver. Their stomach/digestive tract will also generally have a PH imbalance which
makes it acidic. The perfect enviroment for the bad intestinal bacteria. It should
normally be alkaline which is the opposite of the outer skin which should normally
have an acid balance (the acid mantle).

Psoriasis sufferers will also be affected by a PH imbalance on the eperdermis (outer-

skin). The skin PH (especially around the patches) will be more alkaline then healthy
skin should be (normally PH 5.5). Yeast like micro-organisms called Pityrosporum
ovale flourish in a more greasy alkaline enviroment (especially the scalp). That is why
Psoriasis will often start at the point where sebum glands used to be the most active,
like the scalp, ears, nose etc... These natural micro-organisms normally populate our
skin/scalp and help us by getting rid of dead skin cells (our own natural exfoliators).
However, a problem arises when these guys get overcrowded as they irritate the skin
and therefore overstimulate the production of new skin cells. This triggers the auto-
immune response from our bodies that believes it has to react to some form of
agression which reinforces the cycle of rapid production of new skin layers. This
accumulated skin now forms much quicker than even our scavenging friends can deal
with. This ends up causing patches of Psoriasis and excess amounts of dry flaking
itchy and often inflammed skin. The problem unfortunately tends to spread and
eventually become systemic.

I know I may have gone on about the causes of Psoriasis but I truly believe that
nobody has a chance of curing the dreaded Psoriasis until they understand what is
really going on and how to approach the problem. In other words the importance of
treating it both from the inside and outside. In my next post I will start giving you
some of the practical solutions that cured me. However, it is essential to educate
yourself as this will give you the in-depth knowledge and therefore the confidence to
truly tackle the problem yourself, with real commitment. So let me tell you of the
books that I heave read and found the most effective in educating me about how to
cure Psoriasis, which I can now count as a distant memory. Thank god!

I know its a lot of reading material but if your serious abotu curing your Psoriasis you
will do it. I will explain my approach in my next post (when I get a chance because it
will take time as this post did) but bear in mind Psoriasis and digestive problems are
quite complex and can require different appraoches for different people, that is why
you need to do the reading for yourself aswell. Hope this long post helps you. Good
luck all!

Hi All,

OK this is how I cured my Psoriasis. But please read my suggested book titles aswell
as i think it is essential that you are also self educated about your particular case of
Psoriasis as everybody is different and often respond differently to treatments (as
mentioned in my previous posts).

Let me first describe what was my particular case of Psoriasis and symptoms: Chronic
Scalp Psoriasis was my main symptom, also small patches on nose folds, ears and
eyebrows (mainly during flareups). Also infrequent small patches on my lower legs
and groin area. I also had a minor form of Gastritis/IBS which gave me constant
stomach bloating. I also was increasingly becoming more intolerant to different foods
(a sure sign of an intestinal imbalance and an unhappy Liver).

I cured my Psoriasis by working both from the outside aswell as the inside as
follows-:
Outside (external treatment): Regular application of healing cream to Psoriasis spots
(2 or 3 times a day). Also use only Natural shower gels and shampoos that do not
contain Sodium Laureth Sulfate (most good health shops stock this). SLS is a harsh
detergent that will only slow your healing process.

Ingredients: 2 Parts pure Aloe Vera Gel, 1 part Jojoba Oil, enough to fill a small
50ml/50g jar. Then add the contents of a punctured capsule that contains either liquid
Vitamin A as Retynil Acetate or Palmitate (ask your pharmacy), or simply fish liver
oil as this also contains pure Vitamin A&D (the smelly option). Also add a few drops
of pure tea tree oil to the preparation. Keep a jar handy for regular use. Once your
patches disappear you can use the same cream but without the Vitamin A as a
maintenance cream. Or the Body Shop Aloe Vera daily soothing moisture cream is a
surprisingly good maintenance cream aswell. A Great face cream too!

Scalp Psoriasis: You should apply this preparation once to your scalp and wash it out
in the evening. It is a very light gel cream that is easy to apply even to the scalp and
simply looks like you have used a wet look hair gel. Wash it out with an organic
Apple Cider Vinegar before using an all natural shampoo that does not contain SLS
(most health shops stock these types of shampoos. Avalon is a good choice). Apple
Cider Vinegar is great for killing the yeast fungus on your scalp and restoring your
natural acid mantle. It is also incredibly effective against dandruff and much better
then any commercial product like Head & Shoulders. The first week you should use it
every other day and then just once a week after that or when your scalp feels itchy or
flaky. Directions: Apply about a cup full of Apple Cider Vinegar to your scalp (use an
empty water bottle and make a hole in the cap) and gently massage it in to your scalp
(you can add some clove oil and/or tea tree oil to cover up the smell on your hair).
Then cover it up with a towel or plastic hair cap and let it sit on your scalp for
between 1/2 to 1 hour. The longer the better depending on your time available before
rinsing out.

Inside (Internal Treatment):

1.Liver Cleansing Diet

2.Anti-Bacterial, Fungus & protozoa course
3.Juice Fast Weekend
4.Immune restoring diet course

Using Liver Tonic and natural organic multi-vitamin tonic

All with regular exercise and massage to help toxin elimination

Week 1&2: Liver/Blood cleansing and elimination diet:

Wake up: Two glasses of warm water (not too hot) with a squeeze of lime or lemon
juice in the second glass.
Then 2 capsules of Evening Primrose oil

Breakfast: Fruit only- Apple compote (or stewed apple without sugar), Bananas, Kiwi
fruit, Papaya, Pineapple, (no citrus fruits).
=> If you are prone to a sensitive stomach or some form of IBS then stew your fruit
first by simply cooking on low heat in a saucepan with a cover for about 10mins with
a little water (this will avoid the raw Cellulose and starches irritating your system)

Teas: Lots of Camomile, Peppermint with honey teas during the day

Lunch: Liver green salads (which include: Cress, Lambs lettuce, Parley, Raw Garlic)
or cold cooked vegetables, especially cruciferous vegetables (cooked the night before)
with a lemon and virgin olive oil dressing (must be home made).
=> IF you have a sensitive stomach avoid raw salads and opt for the cooked
vegetables.

Teas: Lots of Camomile, Peppermint teas with honey during the day

Early evening Liver/Skin health drink- Home juiced: Carrot,Beet and Celery
juice. You can add some fruit juice to taste if you like.

Dinner: Fish or organic farm chicken (cooked in lemon, olive oil and garlic sauce)
with fresh ginger or fresh herbs (choice of: Dill, oregano, basil, rosmary) and steamed
cruciferous vegetables (choice of: Broccoli, Cauliflower, Brussels Sprouts, Cabbage)

Snacks(between meals): Apple Compote (or sugar free Stewed Apples), fruits, Rice
cakes dipped in olive oil.

Also use a good liver tonic to speed the process up like: Swedish Bitters (a world
renown natural liver/blood cleanser). You should be able to find this in most health
shops or on the net.

Also use a good all natural Multi Vitamin&Mineral Tonic (from concentrated fruits
and vegetables) like Floradix Tonic. Don't use standard synthetic multi-vitamins they
are useless and can reduce your absorbtion of the natural vitamins from your food.

This elimination diet requires you to specifically avoid all the following: (but don't
panic as it's only temporary. You can re-introduce them all gradually at the end of the
program)

Alcohol, Spicy foods, Wheat or Gluten products, All night shade vegetables
(Tomatoes,Potatoes,Eggplant,Peppers,Paprika,Chilli), Dairy products, Coffee, Tea
(herbal is Ok), Chocolate, Meats (especially smoked meats), Mushrooms, all sugars
apart from honey (especially Manuka Honey)and real maple syrup.
=> Also if you have a sensitive stomach avoid all nuts

Focus on following:
- Overchew all your foods before swallowing
- Eat at very regular times (do not skip any meals)
- Snack on allowed foods when you need to (do not let your blood sugar levels drop
so that you are operating on adrenalin/nervous energy)
- Try to get to bed at the same time every nightand get a minimum of 7 hours healing
sleep a night.

Also focus on natural toxin elimination methods:

- Regular daily exercise (walking is fine)
- Weekly massage
- periodic Steam baths if possible
- Drink at least 1 1/2 Litres of mineral water everyday (do not drink at meal times as it
dilutes your stomach digestive acids)

This is all designed to speed up the elimination of toxins and stimulate your body's
sympathetic system which will encourage it to start healing itself.

Week 3: Introduce Anti-Bacterial,Fungus and protozoa herbs:

Continue diet as above but introduce the following herbs during breakfast and dinner:
Goldenseal, Milk Thistle, Pau D'arco. Tinctures are best but you can also use dried
capsule herbs (Solgar is best).

Juice fast weekend before starting week 4.

Week 4: Introduce Intestinal Immune system enhancer:

Continue diet with herbs as above and introduce a mild form of pro-biotics (suitable
for infants) which you take daily. The refrigerated ones are the best. Ask your health
shop or check the net.

Thats it your done!! you should have noticed a huge difference and possibly a
complete remission of all symptoms by now.

Week 5 - 8: Simply introduce a more potent form of the pro-biotics (suitable for
adults) and start reintroducing all your foods gradually and looking for any adverse
reaction. If you do get a reaction or itching then simply avoid that food and re-
introduce it at a later date as your system is not ready for it quite yet. Also if you
found you were a sweet or starch lover try and keep this intake more balanced from
now on (it should be easier for you after the diet as it will have lestened your
cravings). As these foods play havoc with your blood sugar and insulin levels and
over time will only run your whole system back down.

> Also for optimum health try and keep the following in your daily regimen:

- Warm water with a squeeze of lime or lemon juice first thing

- 2 Capsules of Evening Primrose Oil just before breakfast
- Liver and skin health juice drink in the early evening and before dinner: Home
juiced: Carrot/Beet/Celery drink.

Also keep up a good daily exercise habit even if it is just a couple of walks everyday
as it keeps your lymphatic system working and your toxins eliminating efficiently.

Thats it!! Good Luck and Good health to you all!

I forgot to mention in direct response to your question about whether Alcohol and
Smoking can exarcebate Psoriasis? The answer is yes. Any toxin will exarcebate the
problem as it puts further strain on your liver which is at the root of the disorder as
previousely explained (see previous post). Alcohol will have a more direct and rapid
effect as it is processed by the liver during digestion. Smoking toxins like tar have
more of a cummulative background effect on the liver as apart from the nicotine most
of the toxins build up in the lungs (as you well know). Note stress is one of the main
exacerbaters of Psoriasis because it puts almost immediate strain on your liver by
pumping adrenalin into your system which can only be broken down again by our
friend the liver. That's part of the reason why we have so many skin and digestion
disorders in the west. Our societies are way over-stressed.

So work on staying calm by Deep breathing, Meditation, Massages and general

relaxation techniques. Hope that helps..

Remember the liver is your big blood filter resposible for removing most toxins from
your body. It filters 4.5 Litres of blood per minute. That is a massive job. In fact it is
the largest organ in your whole body. Even larger than your brain or your heart. It
truly is the master organ or the body's general as the Chinese call it. So you better
love your Liver....
