From the buzz session: recruitment process, selection, inducting of staff, helping others
to learn and develop their skills, managing performance, leading and motivating staff,
facilitating work team, establishing effective workplace relationship, personal work priorities
and professional development that are tackled. I have learned the all the said topics are
equally important, and planning have a big impact in the process and as a manager, we should
know what are the status and needs of our employee and how we can handle it.

           The recruitment and selection process should be planned to maximize resources and
minimize cost. One thing that the business can use technology that is readily available in the
market like the “talent selection algorithm” is a complex set of instructions that tells a computer
program exactly what to look for in a candidate’s job application and how to decide which
applicants show the most promise and which should be disqualified from a search. It helps to
lessen bias from a hiring process, reduce the time and effort in the processing of application
and selection. The percentage of abandoned applications dropped from 93% to 25%, meaning
that a far higher number of valuable candidates continued with the application process and
ultimately got hired. Using algorithm HR can predict and can decide before it happens,
elements like Attendance, tardiness, and others. HR can design activities based on the data
that can boost the morale and feeling of belongingness of the employee to the company that
can lessen the rate of turn-over that can be avoidable.

           We as a manager must be observant to our employee. We must plan and keep track of
the necessary needs of our employees that they will that they are part of the company. Using
available technology that helps us in managing and monitoring of our employee that can help
to reduce the time, effort and also expenses of the company.
