PROPOSAL FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF COMPUTER


APPLICATIONS, BUSINESS ACCOUNTING AND
MULTILINGUAL DTP CENTRE
AT
BHALESSA
Under the scheme of NCPUL Govt of India

INTRODUCTION :

The contribution of rural youth and Urdu speaking populace to the


society and the economy is well known. If given proper opportunity and
encouragement, they have the potential to excel in every field.
However, a lot remains to be done to understand women’s needs
and development of appropriate products for the benefit of rural
populace. In order to meet the specific needs of skill upgradiation and
competence development, the National Students Welfare Association
Nagrota Jammu has formulated G R Azad college of Hr. Education
BHALESSA. The Preliminary survey of the NGO in BHALESSA reveal
that the there are so many villages and hamlets in the area having
less rather no access to education and technology mission or any
other community skill upgradiation programme.
The NGO find it worthwhile to approach NCPUL for the
setting up of Computer Applications, Business Accounting and
Multilingual DTP Centre at this place.

HISTORY OF NSWA:
NSWA was set up in 2003 IN BHALESSA is a non-profit making
voluntary organization registered under Societies Registration Act
1961.
NSWA is dedicated to promote, establish, run & maintains
educational institutions of excellence to keep pace with the rapid

industrial development in this region. This society is managed by a
Board of Governors comprising of eminent personalities who are great
visionaries.

It was in the summer of 2002, a few students of Jammu University
led by Mr. Sadaket Malik and others got together to think of ways in
which they could play a role in the development of education in J&K
state.
These young people shared the belief that education is a critical
requisite and an effective catalyst for social and economic change in
the area. Basic education became the agenda for the action group that
emerged from this gathering.
The group was named NSWA to represent the hope that had
brought these individuals together and the hope that they aimed to
bring into the lives of youth of the area. In that summer of 2002,
mission was born at University of Jammu J&K.

NSWA was setup with the aim of providing Formal, Non-formal,


Medical, Technical, Professional and Vocational education. Further, the
society aims at providing easily accessible and quality higher
education through its institutions for Formal and Non-formal education
as well as Multi Media Open and Distance Learning Mode.
Thus the ultimate goal of NSWA is to provide education of
excellence at the doorsteps of the students.
NSWA aims at creating a modern education centre of excellence
in Centre for rural Education and Vocational Training at BHALESSA 380
KMS FROM Jammu, provide value based education of international
standards and with a motto to march ahead to build a Knowledge
based society by democratizing education in remote and
disadvantaged areas of the society.
We at NSWA are all set to conduct interdisciplinary research
dealing with social, political and economic issues in a comparative
framework with the collaboration with International Organisations and
Universities.
The Institute conducts research on strategies of planning and socio-
economic development, international relations, national movements
and cultural relations of third world.

Expected results 10,000 students to be enrolled in the diploma
Programme in CABAMDTP course.
Support Activities Capacity building exercises through booklets,
pamphlets, videos films, lectures, photographs
etc.

Accommodation Four halls, one office, one conference hall, 2 class


available rooms, separate bathrooms for males and
females.

Operational We intend to continue to counsel, motivate, and


definition involve the community, local people, and
children‘s guardian’s and parents in the said
course. we will continue to raise awareness about
programme.

Infrastructure facilities to be provided by NGO:

At least 110 Sqr. Meters space for computer centre comprising of


one room size atleast 15"x12" (computer lab) another room of
same size for Class room and third room of size atleast 10"x12"
for Supervisor's office and Library. In addition to this separate
toilets for girls and boys.

Computer Lab:

1 Six computer tables for six computers and two printers.

Community:

The community in the project area is the main beneficiary. Capacity


building in the form of meetings, NCPUL programmes, participating in
the activities of learning and capacity building that will help the
community to understand the magnitude and seriousness of problems.

Monitoring and Evaluation:-

The monitoring shall be made on monthly basis and MMR shall be


submitted in time before every 7th of every month or following the
guideline of the Directorate of NCPUL.
